@@JB-xl2jc Yeah, the only thing about 3 is the story and tbh I think the subway system was a missed opportunity. There should have been whole communities in the subway system instead of a lot of the bare desolate waste by ravenrock. A lot of the times exploring did not give a good payoff.

It would just break apart from within. Fractions would start to form within the Legion. Conspiracies to overthrow the ruler would be made. Slaves would rebel. It all would lead back to conflict.
And what happens when Ceasar dies? In New Vegas if you get the Legion ending with Ceasar dead, then Lanius takes over and he doesn't give a damn about the Legion and it's unity. He just wants to fight and have war.

When you really think about it, the Legion is actually really similar to the NCR/House, just slightly less polished compared to the two ladder factions. The Mighty Caesar (Past and present NCR presidents/Mr. House) built a legion (an army/The Strip) by forcefully integrating backwards tribes (forcefully annexing independent settlements/forcefully rehabilitating tribes) to work for or support them.

True, while Caesar's Legion isn't 'National Socialist'; you can't help but admit Caesar's Legion definitely has a sort of Fascist aesthetic/structure to it.
It's a personality cult that plays dress up like Romans with sports equipment. Granted, the personality cult has good commanders. That doesn't mean that they're more loyal to the leader than they are to the nation. The legion would eventually descend into anarchy after Caesar dies.
James Rustler People claim thus all the time, but there's nothing to back that assumption up. The Legion has the most capable leadership of all factions, period. If Caesar would die, there's plenty of possible successors. In addition, Caesar's philosophy is the kind that will echo through your mind and stick with you. He's the only 'larger-than-life' figure in NV. His philosophy dying with him is nonsense.

The legion is one of my favorite factions in new vagas. A lot of people hate them because they enslave people, but they don't do it to be mean, they do it because it a huge benefit to the legion. I never said it was right, but the out come justifies the means. The ncr is a corrupt republic that doesn't know the first thing about running democracy and is heading down the same path old world America did. Not to mention their pretty much thieves, they just create laws to make it ok. It's said somewhere in the game that in legion territory, there are almost no scum like raiders, thieves and whores. That make harsh examples to keep everyone in line.

the greater conflicts in Vegas were the best of any bethesda game, fitting even that they didnt primarily make this game.
The Skyrim Civil war was ok, you were railroaded into joining the brotherhood in FO3, but fallout 4's arc was awful. The institute was not a menacing threat like the Enclave, Legion or NCR. and it was a pretty weak and boring battle with them, just 2 or 3 missions, and it was even more of a pushover if you sided with the brotherhood because frankly no enemy could stand up to power armored units in that game, and there were no power armored enemies other than raiders.
High level super mutants were the only real challenge to BOS players, and that was just due to the sheer amount of HP they have
Fallout 4 BOS run is a power trip once you start duping fusion cores and mini-nukes

Hey, for all we know it might be in the mid-west. There was mention in FO:NV of an Enclave outpost in Chicago. Now that I'm replaying FO3, I'm beginning to see that the pattern of hints presented could lead us somewhere different than either of them. Hopefully it'll nothing like FO Tactics if that's the case.
Hard to say unless it'll be mentioned in FO4. Funny thing is, in FO1, a diplomatic solution was hinted to be the cannonical way to defeat the Master of the Unity. For all we know, this is possibly the same for all the other games in the franchise (with the exception of Frank Horrigan in FO2 who you have to fight no matter what the outcome is). My guess, Lanius survived the second battle of Hoover Dam, but maybe killed by infighting back at the Grand Canyon then usurped from being Caesar.
