I leased a 24 Trax LS a few months ago and just love it! Sadly the negative reviews represents what is wrong with society today, people are just nasty if not brainless. It is typically beautifully Chevy styled. No problem with the engine...gets great gas mileage plus has adequate power. As always with Chevys you get excellent value for the price.

Love this, this would be my first car. It could replace the Malibu since it’s so small

Great review. Purchased my Chevy Trax LS on February 14, 2024. No problems. Looks great. Nice ride. Very roomy. At a great price of 21,495. Not a race car, but just enough power. A basic vehicle that i would recommend to everyone. Oh, and by the way..... "IT'S NEW!"
    👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The same 3 cylinder has been used in the Buick Encore GX, and the Chevy Trailblazer since the 2020 model year with no major issues. 6 speed automatic transmission that's been used almost forever now in multiple vehicles for about a decade. And by the numbers it has more displacement per cylinder than the previous 1.4L 4 cylinder (0.4 > 0.35). Way more comfortable than the previous Trax models and more room inside than the Trailblazer.

Thanks for the clarification. I for some reason thought that newer Chevy turbocharged engines don't last. That's why was thinking more of hyundai elantra 24.

I just can’t wrap my head around this being considered cheap value. Bonkers how little car $25k gets u now. Don’t get me wrong, i think this is well priced given the current market. I just miss my 2009 chevy cobalt bought new for $12k and had a 150hp true 4 cylinder. I can’t imagine this 3 banger is THAT much more expensive to produce

You have to take into account that we’ve had the worst mass inflation in these times since the late 70s. With that in mind it is harder to get by

I think if you really need a car asap, this could be a good choice. Even if you option it out you’re at 27,000 bucks. With the understanding that this most likely is a throw away car. If you can put 80-100,000 miles on this even being a beast on maintenance, that is about the end of its lifespan….which means you will get nothing at trade in time. I have a friend who has one and so far she loves it and it was what she could afford. She got the bright yellow middle trim and paid around 25,000 OTD for a brand new car….not bad….reliability and long term🤷‍♂️

It will be throw away at 100k, and probably at least a few frustrating trips to the dealership for various issues that I lovingly call "GM things". It's just how they are. It is a great value in this market, and I guess if it's what you can afford, and don't have terribly high expectations, it's pretty good. The way I look at it, with my Toyota I have, I bought it once, yes at a higher price point, but it'll go forever. With this - I buy it now, but then I am buying it again around 100k or so. A person just has to decide what fits their need the best.

This looks horrific. It suffers from the same design problem that all modern vehicles suffer from: Steamroller Syndrome. Also 3 cylinder, WTH?

Yeah, hard to believe they went with a smaller engine than a Cruze.

It's a car that drives. Why so negative?
