      I have the Flow 762TI and it's pretty good on my AR15s, AKs, and Scar. It's very sparky, even midday in overcast weather. It's very loud with 300blk subs, so loud that it's not tolerable to shoot more than a couple rounds without ear pro.

    Inconel will last a bit longer in the long run and is heavier but there are other considerations. Titanium suppressors throw sparks, inconel is not naturally sparky. Inconel has good yield strength up to 1400 or so degrees but you never should exceed 800 with titanium. So in addition to weight and useful lifespan, flash signature and firing schedules should be considered as well.

    • @devon5078
      @devon5078 Před 6 měsíci +2

      everyone forgets that a layer of carbon will build up quickly and you wont get that sparking that you get when the suppressor is brand new.

    • @davidstrickler6570

      Inconel is superior to titanium in dealing with heat. In jet engines, it can run white hot for 45 min. Before it begins to deform. Titanium once hot will burn with a bright flash blinding the operator. It will also melt through whatever floor you're standing on. It's an um metal. Titanium, magnesium, aluminum. 3 off the top of my head that can be very volatile.

      I've bought 5 cans now because of AA videos but so far since my CAT cans are on backorder I have to say my best purchase EVER on a firearm related buy was the Liberty Precision Machine Anthem S.
      I was and am so thoroughly happy with that can I bought the S2 version when it was launched and just got the pin/weld Anthem S too to do a non-sbr short barrel upper.
      I'm just saying, if it's good enough to buy 3 of them and be happy as can be... especially at almost just half the price of the ODB inconel - maybe give the LPM a shot next go around if it fits your needs.
      It REALLY shines on 5.56 in 13.7-14.5+ barrels. I don't even need ears on my 14.5 with the S.

      @@AlabamaArsenal I cannot recommend them highly enough. Keep in mind I am NOT referring to the SRD line as those are hot garbage. The SLH line is their new suppressor series and is being paired with the XM7 for the military. These are 3D printed and negate a large portion of the gas being blown back on the user while still being able to cycle subsonics reliably. I am using one on the MCX Virtus in 300BLK and have been extremely impressed especially after using primarily Surefire cans for years. Their MOD-X 9MM can is equally as impressive for pistols. If you get an opportunity to just shoot one, please do. I would be very curious to compare them to the ones in your video. I will also say that really the only “negative” about their SLH line is that they use proprietary mounts that as of right now I believe only fit SIG rifles but they are going to release universal mounts in the future from what I understand.

      Depending on the host weapon, host caliber, length of exposure, and suppressor that can be true. For instance, almost any can with a short barreled AR in 556 you should probably wear hearing protection, if you have a really good can, you should still probably wear hearing protection if you're going to shoot more than a mag or two. On the other hand, 22lr, 300BLK, and subsonic 9mm can all easily be brought to hearing safe levels with a good suppressor. Thanks for watching!

    Pew Science rates the Hyperion higher than the CAT with subsonic 300 BLK meaning the Hyperion performed better/was quieter with their testing. Of course, many don't know that info was published so it's been amusing seeing all of the "The CAT will be the quietest 300 BLK can out there when it's released" comments for the past 6 months...

    • @Gunny11795
      @Gunny11795 Před 7 měsíci +5

      The Hyperion is also 3" longer and a larger diameter, so given the ODB is only a couple points lower, its very impressive for the performance.

    • @Siragray
      @Siragray Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Gunny11795 Maybe, l will need to hear it in person to decide how "impressive" it truly is.
      Either way, the ODB isn't quieter which was the point of my comment.
      And we both referenced the OVERALL PS suppression rating, but if you look more closely at the individual numbers the muzzle rating isn't close at ALL with the Hyperion beating it significantly.
      Look, even J Parker of CGS said he was impressed with the ODB but so far l haven't seen/heard what is so special about it.
      Again either way, l stiII think it's funny because there have been TONS of comments about how the ODB is going to completely crush and destroy everything on the market and so far that hasn't been the case at all.

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  Před 7 měsíci +6

      I did say quietest given size, you can go to PewScience and arrange the 300BLK data by the quietest cans for 300BLK and all the cans quieter are longer, much longer in some cases. I try to confirm anything I say with available data, but according to pew science, and my opinion, this is the shortest quietest 300BLK can or the most effective per inch. But there are several cans quieter then it is. Thanks for watching!

    • @AlabamaArsenal

      Not sure they're all this way, but mine came without an adjustable gas block and basically if the gun was just cleaned and lubed the CAT would cycle it, as it started getting dirty it just didn't have the back pressure to cycle it. @nickg0411 Před 7 měsíci

      Definitely worth a read if you’re considering buying.
      If you break it & it’s user error or not using their mount
      “If your CAT suppressor is broken or cocked up because of some stupid shit you did, we WILL NOT replace it. If you use anyone else’s accessory and it blows out the end, sends a round through the side, that’s on you buddy, and we WILL NOT replace it.”
      “CAT suppressors are engineered to line up exactly with the bore of your rifle (including a bore tolerance slightly larger than the caliber rated for your suppressor), as do our muzzle devices, so it defies engineering logic with all things equal that you’d have a failure.”
      “Please don’t try and say the suppressor was on one of our muzzle devices, because we’ll ask for a receipt and a photo of all the parts, and we’ll see what you did to it in two seconds. We just won’t replace suppressors because of stupidity, laziness or lack of commonsense, and anyone who thinks we should is an idiot too (you can buy each other beers and cry yourselves to sleep).”
      If you break it using their complete mount system
      “If you buy a CAT suppressor, muzzle device and a reducer as a complete system, we are going to fix it by replacing it entirely in every case not because you want us to but because that’s who we want to be.” I would read this to mean an entirely new silencer & serial number, therefore new Form 4 wait - but this is unconfirmed speculation
      Customer service while waiting
      “please don’t annoy us with questions while we are trying to fix it. We don’t have time to explain what is wrong with it. We don’t want to not communicate with you because we don’t love you, we just have so much shit going on in the real world.”
      “We don’t need you to confirm with us that we received your magic wand. You tracked it to us, didn’t you? Ok, then leave us alone, we’ll turn it around as quickly as our work schedule allows. You just do your part, we’ll do ours.”
      “Again, we love you but if you’re disappointed by the fact that we had zero contact with you and won’t engage in 3-4 conversations on email, Instapop or your Mommy’s Facebook account about the status of whatever you’re on about, dry your eyes, Princess. We have Ying and Svetlana on social media to answer your questions, but we don’t have time at CGS’ factory in Area 51. We can either fix your sweet 6″ cherry blaster or we can email back and forth, maybe talk on the phone about your thoughts on advanced material dynamics when we could be working.”
      Returns
      “Any new wand blaster that you may wish to return will incur a $300 Restocking Fee, not our fault you get Buyer’s Remorse.”
      Defective Product Returns
      “You have had five (5) fucking calendar days to play with your balls and return any defective CAT product from the date you received it. If you send us any CAT product back, it must be in the original packaging, and must be accompanied by your original receipt or proof of purchase, not a note from your Mommy.”
      “Once we receive your defective CAT product, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your return (with an acknowledgement that we probably fucked it up at our North Korean Sweatshop), so we’re sending you a new one.”
