"Sacrifice" By Elton John (Model in music video is NOT Yasmeen Ghauri)

- I've been getting many emails and comments asking me if the model from the music video "Sacrifice" by Elton John is Supermodel Yasmeen Ghauri. As you can see clearly in slow motion, the model on the video is definitely NOT Yasmeen Ghauri. Wikipedia also made my mistake.
This debate has been going on for many years. That model on the music video is definitely not Yasmeen Ghauri. I'm a Yasmeen super fan.. I would recognize Yasmeen from a doppelganger.
It's not Yasmeen for sure.
Her name is Yvette Lozano, she was model in 80's and 90's .

According to Elton John's official website, Wikipedia, and IMDb, the model in "Sacrifice" video is Yasmeen ghauri. All those sources can't make same mistake.
Doesn't look like Yasmeen for me either. I've been collecting Yasmeen's runway pics for ages (I think one of her first catwalk appearances was for Katherine Hamnett SS 1988) and she didn't look like the girl in the video in 1989 when she did Prada and Lanvin shows.
The name of the model in the video is Yvette Lozano, she was Nordstom catalog model in 80's and 90's .

I have been commenting on Elton John's CZcams channel to ask his online team to change the description cause it incorrect!! They got it from Wiki too. They also claim Chris Isaaks is in it which it isn't. Yasmeen was 18 in 1989 when this was filmed. She was not international known and on the radar. More importantly physically its not her, Yasmeen had long hair at the time. She cut her hair in 1991! Some people are insisting it's her but it 100% not!!

There is one scene near the end of the video where the woman is standing wearing a long coat and her shoulders are conspicuously broad. There certainly are uncanny resemblances to Yasmeen Ghauri.

Hello, The model in the music video is Lori Ann Smith, a model whose career heightened in the 80’s. She is my mother and this video has been apart of her portfolio for years.

@@saranava5295 She told me about it when I was in highschool, I’ll have to ask her again. I do know that there was a lot more filmed because Elton John wasn’t originally going to be in the video.

Yasmeen has longer face, sharp nose and tan skin. While the model in this video has fine oval face,straight round tip nose and much lighter skin.Similarities are eyes,brows and body.

He is taller, well better looking than Chris Isaak. And as you mentioned that age gap is not there. I would say the video is drama between two models. But I don’t understand the story

That is 100% NOT Yasmeen Ghauri. I've known that for years. Just look on the side by side picture. I've seen Yasmeen's picture when she was younger, and it doesn't look like her on this video.
Exactly. I even message Miss Gail Elliot who was a late 80s'/ 90s Top Model and friend of Yasmeen, to clarify if the model on this video was Yasmeen. Gail said its NOT Yasmeen.

Those are Yasmeen and Chris in the video. The video description is official. It can’t go wrong. I don’t know why some people insist it’s not them while it is them.

Yes, they made mistake, the female model in the video is Yvette Lozano. The male is not Chris Isaak as it is credited, But someone looking similar to him
Clearly not Chris Isaak. His nose is far broader than Chris' nose, which is snub (turned up at the end) because he used to be a boxer and he says his nose was broken 7 times. But the thing you cannot argue with is the ears. Get a side profile of both Chris and this actor, and you'll see the ears are totally different. Chris' ears are larger with no lobes. The actor has smaller ears with lobes. I'd love to know who he is though 😍

Chris Isaak is Credited as the male, but he's far better looking than Chris Isaak... To me,Looks like they are two European models( male and female).

I rely on Elton John Website, Wikipedia and IMDb and my own eyes over a random person making this video to convince people the model in Sacrifice video is not Yasmeen Ghauri. That for sure is Yasmeen Ghauri . She looks just like her. Same body, hair Facial feature, eyebrows etc who else can she be? .. There was no other model in that era with that ethic Features . Plus, there is no way all sources are wrong . Those are Yasmeen Ghauri and Cheri’s Issak in the video. They’re both alive and active. They could ask to change the info on all those sources. But they did not. it is them get over it.
