My dad lives by this. My mom stomps on him, over and over and over. She's a narcissist, and he loved her once. But my dad always knew that fighting her wasn't worth the poison she would spit. And so, he would graciously accept defeat. Even when he was 100% right, and now, I try to do the same thing.

Unless if it's a situation where it's not beef it's problem than always be honest and speak up. People gotta learn how to openly communicate more without making it an "argument" or a they VS them mentality. We all live on the same place in the same place on the same planet let's act like it and behave accordingly

The real secret is don't chase the dragon's tail of happy feelings. Happiness is already a product of life, once you embrace life for what you can't change and learn how to change the things you can even if it takes the hardest work than you will already be closer to Peace and happiness than people with millions of dollars who have the money to distract themselves long enough for happiness to feel "good" enough

As a non native English speaker I'm a bit confused. What does it mean "being the bigger person and being gracious to squash the beef, is always a good idea"?. Is it a way to say "let go of petty arguments" kind of thing? Like, don't waste energy trying to prove others that your right?
Yes, it means letting the other person win the argument or fight. To be peaceful about it and let it go. The fight is not worth it. Let it go gracefully.
