Not during the procedure but after I felt alot of pain.
My root canal was excruciating. They took the nerve out and I felt everything. They told me they couldn't give me any more shot for pain it was torture pure torture
+youknowwhatflav sometimes we have a “hot” tooth that doesn’t respond to anesthesia because it’s so infected. I’m sorry that happened to you believe me it’s very frustrating for the dentist and painful for you. 🙏🏽❤️❤️🩹

It was so painful I had to stop her everything when she was removing the nerves . It was very very bad experience for me .
Mines was easy. I didn’t feel anything at all
I had a canal cause I got ran over by a car when I was young and my front tooth was busted and they said the vein had died since I had no sensation in it and after the root canal they didn’t place the tooth fully in my tooth socket so it was just there and it had made my jaw go sideways to the right everything I bit down later on my jaw was just fixed in that position and I had to get a surgery and I sued the dentist

My first one hurt on my bottom row like hell during the procedure for the most part but my last one I had was actually not painful at all it was on an upper molar just a little sore after .i had a different dentist a-swell I think it depends on how bad the tooth is a-swell as the dentist slight of hand with that drill .
You need intrapulpal anesthesia or Bupivacaine
It all depends. Everyone is different in there own way sometimes it even depends on the persons health when I was 12 i had a root canal done and I don't mean to scare anyone but it hurt the entire time during the procedure, after while it didn't hurt on the way home but once I got home the pain literally got worse the only way I was able to get rid of it was sleeping for a few hours. Again its different for everyone and not everyone will have the same experience I've heard of people having no pain related accidents while having a root canal done. So yes root canals do hurt and they won't hurt? It all depends on the person.

It only hurts because you neglected to take care of it. Period. Before the procedure. I just got mine done today. two days ago My pain was an 8 before the procedure. the day of my procedure before I went in was a three when I got numb up it was a 0 no pain whatsoever even during the procedure all you feel is tugging and pulling. It is 9:31 PM since 12 PM of my procedure, the numbing has wore off my mouth is still sore a bit.
