I live for Christian metal bands, I am 11, and these bands give me and my father both my heavenly and physical father, a connection, my dad loves heavy metal and has recently been reborn into Christ, God bless you all, especially Demon Hunters ^-^
I lost the greatest man I knew in my life on September 14, 2018. I lost my great-grandpa, my papa, the only real father figure I had in life. He was 79 years old. This song is a beautiful song. It hurts so much to hear it but it almost feels healing. God has and is helping so much during this truly difficult time. God bless Ryan for making such an incredible song.
Honestly one of my favorite Demon Hunter songs. Its absolutely fantastic. this is true lyricism and musicianship unlike the mainstream garbage of the modern era.
I'm a christian, and this song moved me to shed tears of joy. I thank The Lord I found this song, serves me right for misunderstanding demon hunter for a christian band. These guys are my new favorite christian band.
I'm an atheist but I love Demon Hunter anyway because they are extraordinarily talented musicians and they seem like chill guys who have their faith but don't try to act more righteous than others.
I am christian but I hate most of the christian bands because they get a kind of Messiah Complex or something. They think they are somehow superior. This guys spread the word without getting all preachy.
Even thought they are a Christian band that does not mean you have to be Christian. Your religious beliefs do not matter when it comes to liking a band or not liking a band.
This song reminds me of my brother he passed away recently it poured rain at his funeral I'm glad I've found bands like demon hunter and impending doom god bless them and all of us in pain
I completely agree. This is such a beautiful and powerful song, and I definitely want to leave a little reminder to those attending that while I may not be walking this Earth any longer, I'm far better off than I was before and for my Christian loved ones this is only a short goodbye.
its normal to have problems ive had them through most of my life I was only 13 when I was commited to a hospital for 14 months and before that I was in and out of group homes all over the state, that being said life is full of hard difficult times, it was my heart that got me through it all, the more you deny yourself the darker life gets. keep an open mind and find outlets in life that make you a better individual life is waiting, there is hope just keep trying
John Young I wasn't able to enlist because of a heart condition. I truly wish I could of joined up and helped my country and countrymen during the war. my condolences to your brothers that didn't make it home
Thank you for your service and I’m very sorry about you losing your brothers in arms. May their greatest sacrifice never be in vain and my God grant them a place in heaven by the mercy of Jesus Christ
JY,if it helps bro.im probly older then you and served in theater.its been decades,I can never forget em.you ain't alone.in my opinion now we can make Our lives a memorial to them.I shoulda never got to b a granddad.bubba they bought this for us too.blessings.get some!👍❤️
@@andrewthies1828 The best way to honor them, I have found, is to live well and do the right thing, if only because they would were the situation reversed. Many Blessings on you, Brother.
"let the rain fall down and wash away your pain." Hits me like a ton of bricks every time. Brings me right back to that grey sky when it was my turn to carry.
Songs have their own meaning to everyone. This is a song about a lost love one to some, to others, it is meaningless. I lost a loved one, and it was sad. I listened 2 this song and it reminded me of how you can't forgot people after they die. And that they are always with you.
This song helped me through the tragic death of my sister. Honestly, I almost didn't survive. Ryan is so good at finding the right words when I'm left speechless.
This song. Always meant so much to me. I listened to it all the time when my grandfather on my dad's side and uncle on my mom's side passed. Now.. my uncle on my dad's side and my grandpa on my mom's side passed... And it makes me cry, but also brings comfort
former christian of seven years , but i still love this band and support thier releases , im a proud secular humanist and happily devote my life to helping others , even if i will burn in hell for my unbelief.
This song geve me sorrow but at the same time maked me realise that you have to be strong because that's why God sended you here :') DEMON HUNTER 4EVER.
I'll pray too. I'm currently 25 and have faced many hard times, but none so hard as addiction and severe ocd. I know what it's like. Sometimes I just don't feel like life has a point, but then I remember I will neere die, and that miracles do come to take away my pain. Like MrSavedByGrace said, "Don't give up hope, you're not alone."
Heh this song really describes somethings in my life I may have had a bumpy ride so far but I wouldn't change it for the world. Even when times are bad I just dust myself off and charge straight ahead. No matter what has happened good or bad I have no regrets
My philosophy is the more trials you overcome, the more times you tear yourself from despair and misery, when you refuse to go down without a fight, you and your will to fight on, to never give in or up, your cherished memories and people, your scars & your choices these define you.
I FINALLY FOOUND IT. I heard this song like 10 years ago but lost track of the name/artist and it’s been bugging me off and on since then but now I finally found it!!!!
I lost someone very close to my family yesterday. If I had a second dad it would be him. I'm not a christian, but he was and this is definitely something he would say. R.I.P Craig, everyone's going to miss you.
i'm in 9th grade. in health class we're talking about safety and stuff. one of the things we covered today was drowning, a guy in my class asked, "what are you supposed to do if you're caught onto a ship while it's sinking and it takes you down with it?" and this chorus was the first thing that popped in my head. :3
This song really hits me. This past year I've figured out a lot. I suffer from serious depression and I'm on a teenager. I've hit rock bottom. Meaning I've cursed at God and almost killed myself. But, I'm slowly finding my way back. And this song helps me remember that God truly does love me. Even when i feel like no one else does. I love my Lord and Savior. 3
i have heart problems. ive had four open heart surgeries, so i definitely know what it's like to have a thorn in my flesh. i get mad about it sometimes, but i couldn't imagine my life any other way. and i have helped many people in my life by simply having the condition i have. i am thankful that god has given me a life, although there's a thorn in the body i was given =)
There's a friend of mine that I met online about a couple months ago, I found out we have somewhat similar music taste and we've shared music here and there and she said she was glad to have someone to chat with (it's worth noting she suffers from a lot of social anxiety, not unlike myself). I showed her this song one day, and it made her feel such a way that she confided in me that she'd been struggling about strong doubts with her faith, for which I offered the help that I could and I ended up really cheering her up. However... About a couple weeks following this, she then confided in me about how she'd been feeling so terrible that she, to paraphrase her own words, very much wanted to kill herself. I've never felt such a powerful urge in my entire life to help a struggling soul. This was the first time I'd ever had someone come to me seeking help with thoughts of suicide, so at first I was at a loss as to how to help her. Thankfully I was, by God's grace, able to give her words and bible verses and such that seemed to help her out a great deal. However, as of the time I'm writing this, she has been out of touch for about three weeks and while that's not necessarily a problem, it's unusual and makes me fear for the worst considering the circumstances where she's had this lingering depression. I hope to God nothing has happened, and it's hard for me to stop thinking about it.
Shit man, I get that anxiety, believe me. I'm sure she is or will be fine, but a little faith/positive energy focus never hurt anyone haha, just picture her safety and focus on that put all of your energy into that and if you pray, then pray, or anything else that you do to help with this. Sending out good vibes!
I will pray for you. People, don't mark this as spam. This is a Christian band, and we Christians are to pray for one another and encourage. Don't worry, my friend. Christ has been tempted by your addictions as well, and he can sympathize with us. Don't give up hope, you're not alone.
i miss u grandpa.u died when i was young but i will never 4get u.i stil look at ur picture time from time and cry but i know that u r up in heaven and r much happier and better off than u ever were here.save a place 4 me :'( see u soon hopefully.and when i do.i want people to play this song.because when my granpa died.i cried evry day 2 this song
Yeah man. There are millions of people that went through much worse than you and I will ever have to endure. But they stuck through it till the end. The promise of life after, where every tear will be wiped away, is the best promise anyone could ever give.
I don't know why I imagine a dark power unleashed when the intro happens is like this overpowered black Aura unleashed within and gets awaken because of all the anger and hate.
I live for Christian metal bands, I am 11, and these bands give me and my father both my heavenly and physical father, a connection, my dad loves heavy metal and has recently been reborn into Christ, God bless you all, especially Demon Hunters ^-^
Amen to that!
Agreed kid :)
Demon Hunter is awesome message in there music. These guys can rock with the best.
Amin.
You got a great taste in music, kid! God bless you too! :D
“Save sorrow for the souls in doubt” - this is beautiful

" For every word we never spoke, we had a tear to cry, for every silence like a wall between a better you and I"
Songs like this are why Demon Hunter is one of the best bands to ever play. Incredible songwriting and incredible lyrics.
Honestly one of my favorite Demon Hunter songs. Its absolutely fantastic. this is true lyricism and musicianship unlike the mainstream garbage of the modern era.
"Let the rain fall down, and wash away your pain..." Damn that hits
Yeah it does!
The Destruxion
It has a nice meaning!
I felt it
Been listening to this song for years. Hasn't gotten old at all to me. So much incredible emotion with this song.

Even thought they are a Christian band that does not mean you have to be Christian. Your religious beliefs do not matter when it comes to liking a band or not liking a band.
+John Peterson Which bands are trying do that? I don't want to battle you on this, I'm just curious ;)
+Dave im just a confused believer i do believe and I don't
R.I.P Daddy. Your funeral song that you asked for.
Sabrina Driggers My condolences, truly.
John Young thank you.
Sabrina Driggers I'm sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss sweetie.
They played this song at my dad's funeral.(makes me cry every time I hear it). R.I.P. Dad
I feel your pain, I lost my dad less than a month ago at 62. My youngest brother is only 22, so the pain my family is experiencing is severe.
When you hear a song and say to yourself "is it too early to ask my wife to play this at my funeral?"...
No its not
i dedicate this song to my best friend who died today. 20 years young and was the greatest kid on earth. he always loved this song.
This is probably the most beautiful chorus I've ever heard in a song. Just amazing.
This song reminds me of my brother he passed away recently it poured rain at his funeral I'm glad I've found bands like demon hunter and impending doom god bless them and all of us in pain
I want this played at my funeral.
X2
This song is my bestfriend and I's promise to each other and that we will remember this song on the day we die.
Same.
I completely agree. This is such a beautiful and powerful song, and I definitely want to leave a little reminder to those attending that while I may not be walking this Earth any longer, I'm far better off than I was before and for my Christian loved ones this is only a short goodbye.

This song makes me cry.. Especially the last choruses after the bridge
This song reminds me of my fallen brothers in arms. You guys are still missed!

what a brilliant song! it's an anthem! it's the best from demon hunter, in my opinion! God bless us all!
This is one of the saddest songs I've ever known. Saying goodbye to someone you love has got to be the hardest thing people have to do on earth.
"let the rain fall down and wash away your pain." Hits me like a ton of bricks every time. Brings me right back to that grey sky when it was my turn to carry.

After 4 years this song still means the world to me.
I love those lines. And for some reason, "Tear out the blade and lay it down," always gets me too, though it's hard to put it into words.
this is such a beautiful song
I love this song and it makes me sad at the same time but i love it!

Wow...man I don't know what's going on but these Christian bands just keep getting better and better. What a song!
this song still speaks to me on levels I can't explain. even after all these years it still holds just as much meaning
Chills and foggy eyes every damn time i hear it....
This song helped me through the tragic death of my sister. Honestly, I almost didn't survive. Ryan is so good at finding the right words when I'm left speechless.
this is my favorite song. it carries a good message too. demon hunter rocks!!!!!!

You're being prayed for. Keep the faith.
