  • I'm sorry that it took 10 month's for a new video to show up... but I really don't have had the time for my project :(
    In this part 4, you see a simple slide show from pictures taken during my buggy build. It is an Badland ST2 Long Travel buggy in building progress.
    This is the forth part; receiving all the tires and rims, place them on the buggy and do a lot of small things.
    Part 5 and more will come someday, when I've got more progress!
    I'm only a student with some very expensive hobbies and only a weekend job.

    Can you convert a drive shaft bike to a conventional sprocket type? If you can't, your differential will have to come out and you'll be looking for another engine. It's always something - I can't figure out how to make a sprocket type differential with out doing a lot of
    machine work and spending tons of money

    @stevehunterz Hey Steve,
    You can convert a drive shaft engine to conventional sprocket, but not easy!
    I choose the shaft driven engine for a reason! The convertion from sprocket to shaft makes the output turn the other way around! And because I use a differential I need that.. otherwise my buggy would run backward haha.
    But I think that if you want to convert it, depending on the engine, you still need to do a lot of machinework and stuff. Good luck!

    Hey!
    I use a Opel Omega differential and axles at the chassis side. I am using Volkswagen VR6 hubs and axles at the wheel side. They will be combined half way the axles with some sort of adapters. My next buggy won't have a differential. Stupid sh*t with lots of problems...
    You can choose your own differential.. I just picked the Opel because it was the cheapest and closest by. Could'n find matching Opel Omega wheelhubs so I picked the Volkswagen.
    Good luck!
    Erwin

      +Jeremy Mccord Hi Jeremy, I don't really know wich part you mean exactly. The rear bearing housing from my wheel hubs are made in a mill by a friend of mine. I made drawings after measuring the original Volkswagen bearing housings.
