Somewhere in the Stephen King universe, Cujo is howling pleasurably, Tommyknockers are knocking on heaven's door, and even the Firestarter is cooling off with much respect for this theme song to Roland the Gunslinger. Love is the greatest vengeance. Music sets it free. God bless the orchestra for taking a classic Who song and "Town sending," it into the path I still think rock music is meant to be.

You know, 5 months ago, I was really looking forward to this movie. Now I have seen it. Exiting that theatre, I asked myself, "What happened to this movie?" It wasn't a particularly 'BAD' movie, but I can't help but feel let down. I knew it wasn't going to follow the story of the books, but I was at least hoping it would be able to capture the mysterious and intriguing world of Mid-World. Sadly, it didn't. With all this being said, I now return to this absolutely wonderful song to remember the hope I had felt for this movie 5 months ago. Oh well, I guess we can always go back to the books.

-Cast someone as Roland who does not have blue eyes

At its core, Dark Tower is a man vs himself story, you may disagree completely, but the most interesting concept of the series was always Roland's conflict with his own mistakes.

This version was taken from the leaked dark tower trailer which was sadly never released. Also it can't be found on youtube anymore, but this song was fitting perfect to the trailer!!

The fanboy in me is getting impatient too. But the objective part of me gets it. The Dark Tower is not a property most people are familiar with. Some movies like Star Wars, Spider-Man, etc can have trailers almost a year ahead of time because the majority of people are not likely to forget about it. That's not really the case with the Dark Tower. A trailer released too early would lose any of its steam by the time the movie actually comes out. It's not unusual for a lot of movies to drop trailers 2 or 3 months before its release. 10 Cloverfield Lane dropped its first trailer one month before its release.

Sláine Mac Roth I'm a huge movie buff and I think this is actually my most anticipated movie ever. I'm not even exaggerating. I've been doing a google news search for the Dark Tower multiple times a day lol. I've been waiting to see this movie for over half my life. With that said, I'm making sure to keep my expectations for it tempered. That's always a wise decision for any movie. I learned that lesson with Man of Steel. Man, did that movie burn me.

I think Elba will do a great job acting the tired, beaten down and almost soulless wandering man rediscovering himself and the true way of The Light through his new/old Ka-tet.

If I could just cut 2:40 to 3:55 out that would be great! The cover is awesome, but the lyrics are ridiculous. Goes from this haunting song, to being more upbeat speaking about sticking fingers in ones throat.
