The look on her face when the announcer said "your son" was absolutely priceless. I am tearing up right now...but I cant let Chara see me cry....god damn he is huge...
Hockey the greatest sport on earth
THE POWER WITHIN your right
That was a nice family portrait of Chara and his four kids.
I get teary eyed every time I see soldiers coming home and their family's reaction. Gets me every time no matter how many times I see it. I dont understand why someone would dislike this video. Even if u don't support the war, seeing this should put a smile on your face, if not, you have no soul
This kind of thing gives me hope for humanity. I'm not from america, but I absolutely love your patriotism. God bless your beautiful country.
Holy shit chara is huge didn't think he was that big until this video I knew he was big but damn
I just looked at the wikipedia entry for him. He's 6' 9" without skates. The soldier here is probably only 6'0" with the boots.
His mom couldn't stop hugging him...beautiful
I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING.
haha
i love this!!!! i was crying the whole time i watched this!!!! made me think of my twin brother.. my brother suprised us a few months ago when he got back from afghanistan after being there for 9 months... it was great so i know what the feeling was like for this family!!!
Thank you Lt. Charles Jacobs for ALL you do for this great Nation.
Stuff like this always gets me teary eyed
Respect,, these videos never get old. I love the country I live in and I thank every past, present n future soldier who gives me my freedom. God bless
What a beautiful moment, times like these. God Bless America!
I used to watch videos like this all the time without a whole lot of thought, but they mean so much more to me now that my brother is in the military.
He also played for Ottawa and the NY Islanders. Don't forget, the skates add another 3-4 inches to his height, so in addition to being 6'9" off skates, he stands about 7 feet tall on them.
With everything they’ve done for us, I hope they all get moments like this. ❤️🇺🇸
Now thats amazing. Got to love Boston and America with moments like that.
I'm a 20 year old male and legitimately shed a few tears watching this.
There are certain things words just can't describe, this is definitely one of them.
as the son walked in there I had the biggest smile on my face :D
I was there. Brought tears to my eyes.
Two things must be said here. First, it was truly a pleasure to see such a happy reunion with Lt. Jacobs and his parents. A very beautiful scene. The other thing that must be said is a warning: do not get into a fight with Chara. It will not end well for you.
Being part of a military family, even though i'm Canadian, this video is amazing to me; it reminded me how happy i was when my uncle came back from over seas.
This gives me chills.
I was there last night. Very, very powerful moment. Everybody got into it.
Every time i watch this it brings tears to my eyes. Every damn time.
WOW I am not a huge Bruins fan...but damn this made me tear like a little girl! Awesome.
Also look at the size of Chara vs the marine's mother hahaha.
This is a wonderful video, I'm so happy for the parents and their son, good on the Bruins for doing this for their fans. On a side note, Chara is a freak of nature.
Thank you young man for serving our country.
Moments like that are just the best.
My mom told me Giants dint exist, she lied to me :|
Brings a tear of joy to my eye when i see the mothers face.
I give the Bruins infinite respect for this as a Blackhawks fan.
I always get chills at 1:54.
Chara with skates on next to normal people with shoes is just sad. At least he's the captain of the home team and not the away team LOL
An absolutely beautiful moment.
Well, I am crying.
Thank you and welcome home sir.
@skyward148 Without skates, Chara is 6'9" tall. Last Summer, he became the tallest captain ever to receive the Stanley Cup.
It's videos like this that restores my faith in humanity...
Hooray for a feel good video! That made my heart happy.
I only cry the Manliest of tears...

Is that 33 guy as tall as i think?
He is 6'9" without his skates. Over 7'0" I believe with skates.
Zdeno Chara is the tallest player of NHL...
No.
Your subconscious just wants him to be.
Aw, her face when she finds out her son is there. Screw onions, that's beautiful.

That hockey player from the Boston Bruins is Zdeno Chára from Slovakia. He is 6 feet and 9 inches tall.
awesome!
This would have made Bob Barker proud...in his old TV show, "Truth or Consequences" he would stage games and contests that were contrived to reunite families with servicemembers who were deployed in Vietnam and other overseas missions. Hooah to the LT and his family! The Bruins "done good."
this is awesome :)
One of the most memorable games I’ve been to this was the same game lucic decked Ryan miller
No kidding! That dude belongs on a basketball court!! Awesome video!

I like how the dad figured it out first, and the mom didn't get it until "your son", lol.
Props to the Bruins.
