I have that machine and I am sooo happy with it, the washing and dryer results are great and it's better than my previous combo LG machine.

Question: When you use the STEAM DRYER feature, do you actually see any steam inside the dryer (steam comes from that chrome piece inside the back area) of the dryer? (ours is an electric dryer version, but I believe the gas version also has steam too with that chrome piece where steam comes out)? Anyway, we have the same unit, but when we run the Steam Dryer, we don't see ANY steam inside the dryer, but clearly can hear it making steam and running, just can't see any steam inside or see anything coming out of that hole on that chrome piece where steam comes out). I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thank you for your comment! Being to literally see the steam in a steam dryer is subjective based on the make and model of the dryer. For example, GE uses a more gentle dispersion of steam compared to that of some LG models where you can see it much more. As long as you are getting the results from the steam dryer, that would be what's most important because that is the value a steam dryer provides. Based on your observations, it sounds like everything is working how it is supposed too. A service call to the manufacture is always available to you as well. They may be able to troubleshoot through the phone in some cases.

I just had my tower delivered. The tower has not yet been connected to water or power. The tower is in our cabin that is located in northern Ontario. We don’t use the cabin in the winter where the temperature can drop as low as minus 40*. The reason I did not have the water connection made is that I didn’t want to worry about water in the machine freeze and possibly damage the inner works. However, I just happen to open the small door at the left side bottom of washer and removed the cap on the small hose. Surprise, a small amount of water came out. I called LG to question where this water came from and is there more in the machine that can freeze and cause damage inside. Believe it or not, they couldn’t give me a straight answer.
So, can anyone here help me by letting me know if there is more water in there?

Washing machines are tested at the factory prior to leaving to ensure they meet the appropriate requirements set by manufacture standards. There will be some residual water left in the machine. Manufactures do the same thing with dishwashers as well. Some clients have reported to even seeing water spots in brand new dishwashers with packaging and all!
