    Assassin's Creed: Pirates. Literally nobody talks about it, it's been removed from the app store, and there are pretty much no forums discussing it online, unless you count "why has it been removed from the app store?"

      Oh that's where it went! I had it, got a new phone, and now I don't have it. I did a data transfer thing, but it utilized the play store, and since my smogen apk didn't carry over, I assume it checked it againist what was currently on the app store. But it took your comment for me to realize it was missing

      God of War Betrayal was a serviceable game for the hardware it was on. Can't say the same thing about the Assasin's Creed Java game.

    Dead Space IOS had a full campaign, all the core gameplay mechanics and weapons, and a story that fit perfectly into everything including a twist ending, and it's like it never even happened.

    Doom rpg and Doom 2 rpg were 2 I beat with all secrets. As mobile games at the time they were absolute gems of games.

      If you're interested in playing the first one, you can play it by downloading the game file and running it through an app on Android called J2ME Loader. I play it every so often even today.

      Me too! It was a pretty good time-filler on a bus journey, from what I remember. Didn't stray too far from the original, visually, within mobile limits, and even had a half-decent story. One of the better mobile spinoff offerings.

      @@peterkaplar1660 There were four tie-in novels by Daffyd ap Hugh (who also wrote a bunch of Star Trek tie-ins). The first one was a straight retelling of the very minimal plot of the game, only with a second protagonist. The second one was an adaptation of Doom 2 where Salt Lake City was the last bastion of human resistance. The last two....I get the feeling the authors had no oversight at that point and just put down whatever came into their heads.

    I feel PSP's Metal Gear Ac!d would be a strong contender for this list. It was a turn based card game. Konami released 2 other PSP MGS games, which were the traditional action/stealth games the series is known for. Acid wasn't a bad card game, it was just odd.

      You can still play it on Android by getting an app called J2ME Loader and getting the game file from somewhere online. I play it every so often even now and it's still fun though a lot more difficult than I remember when I first played it.

      I loved Doom RPG! I got it on my Samsung Rogue back in like 2008ish and used to play the shit out of it. I don't think I ever beat it, it was actually quite difficult, but still remember being pleasantly surprised how good it was.

    Dead Space: Ignition could be on here.
    It was a prequel to Dead Space 2, and ends right as Dead Space 2 begins. It was a bit of a choose your own adventure, with puzzles that you solve decided on what route you choose.

    This is kind of scary, I've played all of these and even used the jaguar embroidery machine. Working in a game shop that imported and tracked down weird shit was fun as hell.
    It was IN THEORY possible to download a kept copy of the sateliview games if I remember rightly but it wasn't easy so all we have left are bootlegs.

    You know when you think about it, that Zelda game was in a way not only the first Episodic game, but the first live streamed game AND Online service for a game. Really neat considering the limitations of the time (Especially since it would be a long while before internet was a far higher quality).

    I've heard of Doom RPG and Mass Effect Galaxy but this is the first time I've heard of the other games featured on this list. Also a obscure sequel that most people never heard of is Silent Hill Book of Memories for the PSV.

    DOOM RPG was a great game, really loved it. Wolfenstein RPG was also pretty great. the story in both games were solid as well, you could tell a lot of effort was put into those projects.

    There’s another IOS Mass Effect spin off called Mass Effect: Infiltrator, where you play as a Cereberus agent that turns against them. It had a simplified version of the gameplay of the main series. Plus after completing it you could connect it to Mass Effect 3 in order to add to your war assets.

    _Doom RPG_ was great. I had it on my first cell phone and played it constantly. Found every secret. There's even a reference to it in _Doom Eternal._ I wish there was a way to play it again.

    For that Mario sewing game, I think Nintendo also did a collaboration with singer for a machine that was controlled by the game boy. It was called the Singer Izek, and from what I understand, it came packaged with a game boy and ran a few sewing programs, including the Mario embroidery one. I’ve heard it’s actually supposed to be a pretty good machine.

    who remembers - trials frontier, ubisoft just dropped support of this game but is still on store (thank god), i've gave many hours to it, it is one of the games on which i've put up a good progress
    trials frontier was a mobile spinoff in the franchise launced along side trials fusion (it even had an outfit which you earn if you own trials fusion)

    The Pokemon mystery dungeon rescue squad games, some Japan only wiiware titles in the mystery dungeon series that lacked the story and well anything that made the series great.

    Mega Man for the PC could have made this list. It was effectively a fan game that Capcom bought. It introduced elements that would ge used in later Mega Man games such as a introduced stage where you fight a robotic guard dog, & areas in a stage where you can freely move up and down (where traditionally going up or down meant a screen transition). It did only have three robot masters though.

    The Elder Scrolls: Blades wasn't mentioned in this video, and that's a shame. It's an Elder Scrolls game for mobile phones.
    It's literally the closest thing to a Elder Scrolls Travels title, instead Skyrim was used.

      @@BJGvideos Yeah I know, both are on the Switch, but Blades was originally made for smartphones, not the Switch. Skyrim was made for consoles, not mobile. But Blades was originally a mobile game, and regardless where you play it, it will always be classified as a mobile game, hence why it fits the Travels branding of older Elder Scrolls mobile games.

    That Mario sewing machine was aquired by Retro Future, the YT channel. Iirc he may not have the game, but it's interesting content - plus he helped popularize modded backlit GBAs, GBCs, and DMG original GBs. Fun stuff!

    Remember that awful Wii game, CID the Dummy?
    It got a sequel simply titled Crash Dummy (horrible name by the way) for iOS in late 2011, and got a Steam rerelease in early 2017 in early access, before officially releasing on March 1, 2019.
    It's somehow even worse than CID the Dummy!

    Because the movie was a separate project from whatever this thing had been tacked onto.

    I was expecting Mass Effect: Infiltrator to be the mass effect entry. I've literally only ever seen screen shots of the email conversations. I don't even think it'll run on recent OS/IOS.
    Which is a shame, because it's worth a release just to have Garrus email me "It's late, just got up for some water. You're still asleep. Just wanted to tell you how beautiful I think you are. Love you, G."
    Because I deserve it, tbh.

    Love that Doom music, used to have a cover band called "Sega Don't Sue Us!" Where we transformed video game songs into full live sets. Dooms first levels, Sonics fast night zone, Street fighter etc... so much fun
