- Africa is more than Ebola, and Africa is more than Slaves. To start teaching Black History, we must look back at African History. And this history is rich with wealth, wisdom, and excellence!

my history teacher putted this on in class then me and my friend were like "bars"
Same bro
I love this and as a black man with blood from those 3 ancient kingdoms it fills me with pride to hear this song
This is excellent. I can't wait to show it to my class of seventh graders next week.
Medieval West Africa; Ghana, Mali, Songhai The truth is coming at ya. Everything you thought is wrong right? Medieval West Africa; Ghana, Mali, songhai All you hear was slaves and doing Voodoo love this song!
I love this we did this as a song in a performance in 2015 i was in Ms.Clark Class!
dope I love the kids at the end
+JOCQUISE M ISLAND Thanks Friend
GRIOT: "...more gold than king tut..."
ME: wait a second, king tut is FROM africa
But he still had more gold!
I love it!!! I will definitely be playing this for my students. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to skip the little but at the end where Ebola is repeated several times. I understand the message, but sadly, I have students who will use it as a reason to start 'joking' about the virus... again.
I agree. My kids were able to handle it but I didn't need to hear about Ebola a bunch of times at the end of the song.
Woooooooow! This is amazing! I am showing this to my students learning about West African Kingdoms as soon as we're back from winter break. And I will also challenge them to learn this rap, kingdom by kingdom. What a fun form of assessment if they can rap the details of each kingdom. Woot! Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful contribution!
This goes so hard

Interesting how the king's lighter skinned than his people. lol
oop!
Very European concept
Thats what we took from this? Also do you know who Griot B is? or What schoolyard rap is? its a black owned company and griot B is a black educator/entertainer. These are also pictures... and the same way a person is illuminated on stage to seperate them from the background characters... artists follow the same suit. Lets focus on some real issues.
This is Soo dope who is the artist
Ayeo
I was tested on this in my world cultures class
What's the song?
Shout out from LWP...see you Wednesday! Will you do this one? Say yes and I will provide Jondon/Wolosodon and Lamba as African dance hype....just sayin'....

1:03
Say what??
We wuz Kingz & shit
Go take a bath.
I'm confused by this rap. Are you NOW finally admitting that "Black" Moorish Muslims enslaved Africans and took them on ships and sold them into slavery? That's kinda what this sounds like and it's about time people start telling the truth. God bless!!!
No. It was for work. And it wasn’t forced . It was more a kingdom way of giving out work to do .
3:04 that is not proven in anyway.
neither by oral or writin histories. and 200 ships are hard to miss.
counter point: china has an old map as a claim/rome has the pottery in a brazilian bay/ the vikings have achelogical evidence and writen history.
having the Masa sail into the ocean and not being seen is not evidence of the west african ''saw america 200 years before''
keep it 100% or people are still gonne doubt you
One you're being disrespectful I don't know where you go that information but if it's anywhere but Encyclopedia then it's probably wrong. Second it is proven he said "200 years BEFORE" he never said that they were first to find america. Stop trying to be smart if you're not going to do it right.
Are you dumb?, He said the history wasn't written down so of course you wouldn't be tought about it because they wouldn't and he never said that Africans were the ones to discover America h said they only did that 200 years before Columbus
