      QTV (As a person): A young woman, with the colors of the QTV logo on a suit, and a strawhat on her head
      GMA News TV (As a Person): A robot on a black suit, holding paper on his right hand, acting like a news reporter, and a news anchor
      GTV (As a Person): An older woman wearing a suit colored purple, and wearing a purple fedora

    Galing ng channel mo. Please keep up the good work! BTW ang lolo ko worked in GMA Cebu in the 1970s and 80s and I hold a couple of "lost media" myself its, Cebu Prime Time News where my lolo was an news anchor with Melba Java in the 1980s and an episode of Etcetera! which was a Saturday noontime show in Cebu hosted by comedian "Sayong". Problem is these are master tapes and I don't know who to go to to convert these into digital copies.

    • @EverythingMediaPH

    • @parkmallbaby
      @parkmallbaby Před 9 měsíci +3

      @@EverythingMediaPH I'm in Cebu. These mastertapes are tapes just a little bit bigger than VHS. I don't know what they are called but my grandpa labelled them and they are news and probably some local shows from the 1980s.

    • @EverythingMediaPH
      @EverythingMediaPH  Před 9 měsíci

      @@parkmallbaby Are they betamax? Is the tapes well-preserved? Those tapes are really one of the holy grails of Philippine media, especially as regional media is really obscure here in the archiving community

    • @parkmallbaby
      @parkmallbaby Před 9 měsíci

      @@EverythingMediaPH They are not betamax or vhs. I think they are called U-Matic videocassette tapes. They are kept in a hard plastic containers and they look fine.

      Hi! I'm one of those who contribute to the Philippine TV Archive community. I'm quite interested in these tapes that you might have and I'm sure many of those within the community are too. I was thinking that we could be able to help you find a way to convert or digitise these tapes, as we do have some people in the community that know a bit about preservation of tapes and such. Hope to see a response from you soon because this is quite rare media..

    Oh wow, thanks for the mention. I was just a little kid back then but that's how my little brain remembered the station ID of Citynet: the RGB rings spinning around a bunch of planets. It's too bad that GMA has kinda "erased" everything about that channel's existence. Ni hindi man lang yata sila naghold ng Presscon/Mediacon o Grand Launch bago sila umere. Now, Citynet just serves as GMA's Subsidiary/Production Outfit that operates their sister channel.
    And I kinda wish that instead of GTV, they should've just resurrected the Citynet branding instead.

    I recalled seeing full color fragments of the 1988-89 ABS-CBN ID with one in a 2003 documentary of Philippine TV's Golden Jubilee, and another in a commercial break from the then morning show Magandang Umaga Po, as an end cap to a preview of an episode of Palibhasa Lalake.
    On the other hand, the MBS grids uses Cascom stock animations, if I predicted it correctly.

    I remember ABS-CBN’s 1986 ident where the ABS-CBN was spelled out with their programing they’ve been planning. I can’t remember the music used though.
    As for MBS-4, I kinda remember the “sunset” ident with its branding sung in a cappella followed by a voiceover.

    I really one day to see a lost media of that Islands TV 13 station ID variant from 1993. Favorite kong version dahil sa moving clouds, montage of classic shows and a holy chorus singing Islands TV 13 at the end of the Ident. It was the last before reformat into IBC-13 the next year.
    There is another final one, pero like the last one, it still a lost media. Purong drawings kasi and it's the most obscure variant of Islands TV 13 during it's new peak of the network in the mid-90s. That obscure variant was used in shows like Bioman and Voltes V every Sunday mornings. Sana mahanap sila.
