I’m surprised all this time I never knew you needed to hold forward & which strength to do at certain spacing with the shoulder combo so I never went for it because I would sometimes miss.
Its something i've never really seen explained anywhere either to be fair. Even back in the day people used to just explain it as do shoulder over and over.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the combo at 4:05 says you can start with either close medium kick or medium punch shoulder to launch but I an only am to complete the combo by launching with close medium kick. I believe launching with MP shoulder launches the opponent just a tiny bit too high so you have to let them drop a little mid combo or else they will flip behind you midway--which takes up a fraction of time that depletes Genei Jin sooner and won't allow the second to the last HP Zesshou to hit during Genei Jin so they won't bounce off the wall in a juggle state for the last two hits.
I started off trying that combo by launching with MP shoulder but they're no longer in a juggle state for the last two hits. After failing for a long while I switched to launching with close medium kick like in your video and I was able to complete the combo. Went back to launching with MP shoulder and I still can't complete the whole combo.

Works perfectly fine. This isn't the ideal combo, but its meant to work on everyone. If you have issues after the close s mk after the lp zesshou forcing them into the other direction tap back first before doing f+mk.

yeah he basically has gotten the timing for 123 activate down to a T. Im at like 75% success rate..
