Cracking show lads, none of the usual bland cliches or bullshit. Dan's analysis was great, Rob was his usual irrepressible self, and Neil didn't try to dominate the discussion (not that he's wrong, but watching him constantly being right just doesn't make great viewing).
Excellent balance of views and personalities.
well said 👏
Endo is the stability in the midfield, giving Macca the creative freedom - Endo has one bad game and we’re neglecting his importance already? 🥴
I think Endo has always been underappreciated in some circles of the fan base.. ano matter what they say though, he was the key player during our recent successful run-in
@@PaweRzasowski-uz3wq 👆👏
Very fickle fan base. People turning against Darwin now, last week he was the darling of the club
Agreed - I watched The Anfield Wrap's podcast when Endo was signed and Rob looked ready to rally a lynch mob before he'd even played a game. Maybe play Endo for the first hour so the attack starts earning their wages then sub him, but don't drop him.
I think the point they are making is he looks tired as he has played a lot of games and it's affecting his performance. He needs a rest for sure & remember he is not young
Rob gutman I know I’ve said this on multiple videos but I goddamn love you man. Given me confidence going into rest of season. All rests on Palace Sunday
Why does nobody mention the loss of form recently coincides with Salah returning and Bradley being rested.
Atalanta got beat by Cagliari 2-1 on the 7th of April no excuse we were shite
Gutmann's right on Real Madrid - their last game was at the end of March, so they had 9 days to prepare for City. The weekend prior to the CL quarter finals was the Copa del Rey final so no La Liga fixtures. They organise it well in Spain to give their sides the best opportunity in Europe.
And their league is Mickey Mouse walking football.
Get Danns involved in these final games.
Yes please!
How you think we can on a 7 game winning streak, after the way we have played the last month. We have been very ordinary
I find it mad how Konate, the guy who is a beast and has the physicality suited for the prem, seems to be the europa league defender. And Quansah who is developing but is composed and more of a ball playing defender is the prem first choice when it's more intense...
Some wild decisions lately, like the full strength vs sparta after the first leg won us the tie already, then players need a rest. That was the opportunity. Sadly the season looks likely to peeter out. It's more than i expected at the beginning of the season but while in it, I'd have liked to see us be a bit smarter to give it a solid effort now we're in amongst the run in
It's a bit late now to be smart, our problems definitely started with that silly selection against Prague
It seems to be the defenders of the managers go to. Either the players need to play to find rhythm or the players are tired and have played too many games.
How can we build a solid defence if it has to be changed every game because Konate can't play 2 games in a week?
Konate isn't a beast. He's weak as fuck and is constantly injured, fucking jake gyllenhaal from bubble boy. "Beast" players dont get injured like he does... stfu.
Good show
Liverpool have played 50 games in all comps this season and gone 1-0 down in 20 of them. Lots of impressive comebacks within that, of course, but if you're going behind on such a regular basis and repeatedly putting yourself under pressure, eventually it's going to catch up.
Yes, been saying that for weeks, especially with Nunez on the pitch wasting chance after chance
Allison has to make a world class save almost every game too, he just also almost always stops the ones he should
the 2 turning points in liverpools season were luton away and united away in the fa cup,
Who gives a shit about playing into form at this point, play the best in form/fit for the opposition until the end.
Amazing analysis, most mature convo I've heard on our current situation. Thank you !
So we’re back to trying to kid ourselves again that City will drop points
Every season they did that and city still WON the league at the end 😅
We dont need them to, that said there longest winning run all season is 5 epl games and they've dropped point every 3 games on average.
@@DH-TV they’re a different beast when it comes to the run in tho. People try to convince themselves otherwise every year. It’s the new we’ll win it next year shout but never do
Hate to be a pessimist, but I can't see us winning all our remaining games especially as we have 3 tough aways on the bounce and as we've more than likely fucked our chances in Europe I think it's going to end up being an extremely disappointing season considering a quad was a realistic dream less than a month ago. The lads are running out of steam and the attackers must be pissing the rest of the squad off with the ridiculous amount of nailed on chances they're missing every single game. I hope klopp gets ruthless for the remaining games and starts dropping the likes of nunez because it's just mot good enough simple as that
Lets be honest most seasons have been a thrill ride but ended up in massive disappointment in the end. Many Lost finals and losing the league last day by 1 point twice is gutting.
@@MASO204 devastating mate an I still think about those seasons daily
@@yemalad1.We've had the time of our lives with Klopp, more thrills, success and laughs than other clubs will have in their lifetime. Never forget the highs.
@kaneda010 When you tally it all up (the ones that really matter if your being honest) really he leaves with one league title and one champions league. Same thing happened 2 seasons ago with the big trophies is we burned out and started losing when it mattered most
The champions league final v Real Madrid was a really disappointing non performance. I'm honestly quite disappointed we didn't win more tbh. He leaves with 2 major honours to his name, 1 more than Rafa (who also won an FA Cup like Klopp).
@cmg1819 same mate. Klopps training methods could be a reason for the burnouts and ridiculous amount of injuries we've suffered during his time
Deluded if you think we are winning 7 out of 7. Got dropped points at goodison all over us
And craven cottage too
We should have played our strongest 11 vs on Thursday, we could have smashed them and put the tie to bed. Winning breeds confidence, and we need it so badly atm. 0:00
Also, if we can’t play Konate 2 games in a row. What is the point in having him? I think we need to look at getting a top replacement , sadly.
Agree totally, I have said this earlier that we expect to play every 3 days for an extended period of time, we need top quality players who are ready to perform.
Could be worse. Thiago on quarter of million a week can’t play 2 games a season.
@@sjh950 totally agree. A casual year off. Nice work if ya can get it
Now we are getting our players back, we should improve. As long as they're integrated back into the team properly.
Nothing is achievable like this.Bornemouth played better than us last night.
We need first and foremost to start keeping clean sheets.
Be interesting to see how Amorim, if he comes, uses the players next season
Up the fucking Reds ✊♥
3 away games in 7 days. No way points aren't going to be dropped
It’s more fun to be a believer than a doubter 😊
Can you turn the background music down?
They're in a pub mate
Where did Rob get his spray tan 😍
That game seems more significant than just a defeat. Atalanta easily put us to the sword and u wonder whether that's reflecting the rest of our season.
I am sorry boys we are making excuses regarding fixes. Each league in their own way is competitive. We were out played and thought. Dare I say it complacent thinking we could do it with a weakened team. We have had a wake up call. Let’s wake up and show we mean business on Sunday.
Nice pints them lads
Listening to Vienna play on the radio behind y’all sums it all up
Spot on about us looking goosed and European teams looking fitter. Italian teams aren’t known for their pace and speed but Atalanta looked miles faster & fitter than us. Well coached too.
People keep pushing back on it but there is also complacency there too. We are not ‘ that ‘ Liverpool squad anymore but sometimes we play like we still have those amazing players where we could be arrogant.
I’ll be honest, I’ll be devastated if we don’t get one of the big ones over the line this season. For us but Klopp also
They celebrated too early...liverpool will storm bergamo and reach semis
@@bobpadok5331😂 no they won’t. Forget it. Nobody is beating Bayer Leverkusen anyway.
@@bobpadok5331wdym? 😂
@@bobpadok53316- 0 to the more skillful , well coached side
Klopp has jumped the shark along with his dross Nunez
I think there is huge issue with the training if all these talents are not performing in the same time.
In terms of performance from players in recent weeks it's McCalister that has been in really good form.
Almost everyone else have been very unpredictable.
To win the league individual performances need to be raised, for them to be better as a team.
Goes without saying though ,that you do not take your GOOD chances in games ,your defence sees this. So mentally the defense feels the pressure more .
We have conceded to many goals recently and they have pathetic mistakes.
You are winning nothing of this continues.
The 3 nil hopefully is massive kick up the ass and a reality check to the players.
Jurgen will play his strongest team on Sunday and unlikely to be Atalanta.
The result has made Jurgen's decision on selection clearer to make.
All out Prem and win a Magnificent 7
Up The Reds.
Just a thought about Konate - I think he might have suffered a "little bit" of an injury in that tackle in the Sheffield United game where it looked like his season was over. I think he finished the game but was possibly sore after it, hence him not starting at United. I think the plan was for him to play Sheffield United and Manchester United then take him out of the Europa League game.
Gutman has lost the plot with that starting 11 lol! Neil’s reaction tells you everything 🤣
Be positive! Play our best team. We have players that have come back relatively recently from injury that just need mins to find their full mojo. Last Sunday was disappointing results wise BUT we shouldn't lose sight of how much we opened them up time and time again. Yes, we didn't put them to bed but 2-3 months ago everyone was saying how Arsenal couldn't finish their breakfast and now look at the run they are on.
Atalanta did a job on us, but the way they play is also extremely high risk and if we are 1-0 up at half time at their place we still have it all to play for.
We have lots of players coming back that will be fresh and we just have to get right behind them and believe. Arsenal are a bit of an unknown quantity and the only reason we got close to City in 2022 is because they also showed they were not infallible to pressure (had they not come back from 2-0 down on the last day in the last 10 mins then they would have blown an 8 point lead over us).
We have every reason to be positive so let's pin our ears back, ignore the noise, get behind our boys and go for it!
Win our last 7 and Arsenal will have had to win 16 of their last 17 - or something close to that - to beat us. An amazing achievement if they do but let's go and believe in what we are all about, get after teams and enjoy it. Great content btw.
Some next level reframing this
1) complacency cost us, fans in the ground and players seemed like they thought the result was just going to happen, very poor.
2) mistakes have cost us in the last a two games, quansah in the United game and Kelleher mid week twice
3) I really hope this was the wake up call the team needed, we have been very good but also fortunate to get to this point, you can’t keep coming from behind but it feels like this team feels like success is inevitable this year, it isn’t.
Good craic, nice one 👍
It’s nigh on impossible for us to be stretched as thin as we have with players knackered now who’ve been going at it since February playing almost every mid-week and weekend to have an easy 2-0 or 3-0 with the way we are setup to play. We’re so incredibly gung-ho full throttle ALL the time. We don’t need to be playing a high risk high reward game against Crystal Palace. The ONLY means of victory they have on Sunday is if we play this blitz heavy risky game and they have an avenue to hit us on the break. Play secure, play smart, be conservative when it’s required and take risks when it’s appropriate. This team lacks so much game management. We can’t control a game if our lives depended on it. Even with the PL record amount of possession against the leagues worst team in Sheffield we conceded 5 shots with 3 on goal. If Arsenal had 83% possession against Sheffield, they would have been lucky to have A shot let alone 5 and Arsenal would have still managed to bang in 4. Our “high risk high reward” setup has turned more into “high risk low reward” as of late and we have seemingly done nothing to mitigate it and don’t seem interested in doing so either
Thanks - we all make it happen together
I'm just gonna come out and say it. I think the protest massively backfired last night. I don't think it was executed in the right way, was aimed in the wrong direction and only hurt the manager and the players and helped the opposition. Killed any atmosphere dead which went against our players, who the 2% increase has nothing to do with. If you want to hurt the owners for increases you only hurt them by not giving them extra money, don't buy the new shirt don't turn up at the club and spend money, we could protest all summer long but why we decided to not turn up with the flags or not sing and gets behind the team only hurts the team and not the owners. I was there trying to sing last night and most around me just weren't into it and I think it was due to the so called protest. Now, baring a miracle, this will be remembered as Klopps last European game at anfield and that's really sad in my book. Yes the team has tailed off a bit lately but that's when they need our support more than ever, especially in these last games of this season. Yes I get it, some kind of protest has to be made but I feel that wasn't it and massively backfired last night.
Absolute clowns
Let's be frank here, based on your statement the protest was a massive success. It showed what pricing out local fans would look like in 10-15 years time.
Continue the protest. #Emptyanfield
I hope the protests continue. No flags on the Kop and dead atmosphere until the greedy yanks reverse their decision
Season ticket mafia are scum
We will put Palace too bed and then we go again
They need us more than ever tomorrow make sure your up for it or give ye ticket to someone who is there’s a league title to be won!!
We need a Neil and Rob odd couple (one for the kids) sitcom. The 'bantz' and 'high jinx' would be off the charts.
The crowd was overwhelmingly quiet, unsure whether its due to the fact of increase of tickets.
It is because they are selfish old miserable losers
You can not put players into this long transition time.
On the Atlanta game, I think Klopp underestimated them by playing too many squad players, it would have been better to play starters and then make changes in the 2nd half. CP game, Gravenberch is not a starter for me, he's not shown anything to justify starting.
I agree, Grav has been awful since the new year it feels. Wouldnt have him starting a pivotal game like on Sunday, in a month of Sundays!
Klopps going to have do his magic in that dressing room and man manage the shit out of them 😂. Chins up lads gigantic match we must win . Up the reds. YNWA
Defo glad Guttman isn't the manager... Ffs some side he's picked for palace 🤣
The big issue for me is that Liverpool - as intimated here - have to go to the well every game. The difference with Arsenal & Man City is they seem to be able to manage games more effectively. As good as Liverpool have been this year it’s hard to keep coming from 1-0 down etc. The other issue is we can’t keep a clean sheet and we are profligate in attack. Would take any win on Sunday doesn’t matter how it comes just need to get back on the horse.
Who's the lady photo bombing in the background?
She's having a tough afternoon in Louisiana.
We will be doing well to win 4 of our last 7. We’re conceding goals far too easily. Our forwards are lacking sharpness to make up for it.
Enigma a person or thing that is mysterious or difficult to understand that Darwin Nunez.
If Amorim does come, we need 2 new CB's, our backline needs to improve
City did 5-1 yesterday.
It’s all because Neil cut his hair
People need to get in on the team while we've got kloppo, we can doubt things after this season regarding the squad, I've seen too much negativity given how many injuries we've navigated to this point, we have the least losses in the league and we've been screwed in two title rival games and the spurs game.. we're literally tied at the top boys and girls.
Thank God Rob doesn't pick the actual starting eleven is all I'd say
The real question is are Arsenal and City fans doubting themselves going into the weekend like we are right now? Certainly City fans aren't one bit and I imagine Arsenal fans aren't feeling like it would be over even if they were to drop points against Villa on Sunday. Something is not right, we've lost our mojo. This is the least confidence I have felt going into a home game since the 6 we lost in a row in 2021. I fear a frustrating draw or 1-0 smash and grab by Palace
Imagine if Liverpool won all remaining games ..........
oh yeah ...
Klopp ridiculous High Defence line...w Gomez robbo lol calamity incoming lol 🤣
Nunez - please lol 🤣
Salah - Saudi ready .
Klopp took his eye off the ball. Thought the team would win on auto pilot but Atalanta were there to compete.
We need to move the ball faster, we slow it down too much
Ruben help
The Boss just needs to pick his best 15/16 and try to keep the same team from here in. MC and Arsenal have been lucky with injuries but essentially the same team. We are pick and mix at present and can't seem to find a player to pass to. Final third is a worry. Elliot is never a starter and Salah has been shocking. Kids have stepped up so why not give them a chance. Sad to see the Boss end his tenure in this manner. Players need to step up or better still make them see the Atlanta game again!
reckon its time for the big guns to come back and show them whats what
I hope Klopp has learnt his lesson. As late as is it is, I feel like we can come back and take Atalanta. We'll beat Palace, there's no option other than to beat them. It is a must. Rob's team is a midfield horror show! Gravenberch is never a starter against Palace.
22 games since Jan1st ... Nobody mentions the amount of games Mac Allister as played, he missed 1 game with suspension, 4 games injured and those games included Man Untied at Home and Arsenal at home.. He as played the last 12 league games, 3 Fa Cup games including 120 mins V United, 3 EFL cup games including the final. 2 Europa games and 2 internationals since start of the year. That is way more than any other MF player.. He lloked tired and jaded Thursday, time Zlobazi pulled his weight now. If TAA his fit enough, give him first half in MF . No Gomez, No Elliott, No Jones, No Timikas. Play Gravenberch, he as the movement and skill to move the ball quickly
Been dreading this episode since the end of the match last night
Win together lose together ❤
Real had the weekend off because of the Spanish cup final
Weeks ago Liverpool were not missing Trent and winning regularly why do the boys think he is missed now that we are losing?
Liverpool are making loads of chances but bad finishing is an ongoing problem and the coaching staff should be concentrating on improving this.
Yea agreed and don't make another excuse we are losing because we don't have trent in defence 😂
Rob is clueless isn’t he, what’s he been watching
The Friday Night delusion. We're not winning 7 games, we're just not.
I sadly agree. Away at Villa, Spurs at home, and even away at Everton, no way we are winning all three.
Agree with this. Absolutely no chance we win all 7. More chance of Hodgson coming back as manager than us winning 7 in a row. Fulham A, Everton A, West Ham A all within 6 days and then Spurs at home then Villa away on a Monday night. I think we will lose 3 out of the last 7.
I don’t know why everyone thinks that we have a easy run in. It’s the opposite. We need a miracle to not dropping points.
@@maxlegrand3348 Man City will win all their games and win the treble again. You only have to look at the fixtures. Let’s be honest they’ve won the FA Cup already, they only need to beat Real Madrid by 1 goal next week and that’s them winning the champions league again, and their league games are relatively easy - they will win all 7 comfortably.
This Liverpool team is way too emotional, no control of games, conceding 1st way too often and now it's all starting to crumble at what is the pivotal part of the season.
Despite the all problems lfc sitting on top...with pgmol perform better...league would be cemented for lfc..
We aren't top. If the league ends today we finish 2nd place.
@@bobpadok5331 Yeah, no. Tied on points, 2nd on goal difference by a significant margin. We're only even close to sitting top because of insane fucking luck lol, dumbass piece of shit. Conceded first in 21 fucking games this season lmao, luck will run out eventually. Liverpool have been bang average this season... making Van Dijk captain was a huge mistake. Dogshit captain with no leadership.
Agreed. Up top they are far too emotional selfish. I can't believe how many chances we regularly miss. It's almost a reverse competition.... hey lads how many did you manage to miss in this one.... its crap
Why did we go with 433, we know RW does not suit Elliot
Complacency. Van Dyke playing with his hands in his pockets for example.
Nunez misses the chances again, can't seem to stay onside either.
We're a basket case as we dont have a DM. Before and after prime Fabinho (2018-2022) we have defensively been ropey under Klopp. Klopp's team bring chaos, its not a controlled, methodical style, which makes it even more imperative to have a DM who can put out fires. We needed a quick, athletic DM to screen the backline, track runners, but we didn't manage to get one.
The only way we are winning another trophy this season is if city and arsenal both have an injury crisis.
We need them to both get to the champions league semi finals so they have some sort of distraction. Unfortunately, I think Lance Armstrong FC will win every remaining game and win the treble again I’m afraid.
Seriously, if we concede first, the players mentality is a joke
We have been TERRIBLE against man marking this season. It's an issue.
Decision to put Harvey up front AGAIN , to no effect again ... was daft. Klopp can be a very stubborn man and hold onto an idea far too long.
The starting lineup was just too slow. This was not helped by the fact he chose the wrong players to sub off. Gomez should have been taken off at half too, Harvey never should have been pulled. Kloppo basically compounded bad starting 11 decisions with even worse substitution decisions.
Yeah, I've been thinking that we are weakening to grow stronger right now with the reintergration.
Just be a pessimist.
The reason I'm a pessimist is I'm either right or delightfully proven wrong.
Hate singling out individuals, but we have not kept a clean sheet for a long, long time,,,, obviously defence is ultimately the WHOLE team's responsibility,, but I think Kelleher is just below the standard we need at the very top level,,, just putting it out there.
You make so many excuses for this team and manager.
Felt disingenuous the flag protest not being mentioned and fragmentation that has evolved from it since.
The background noise is very distracting. Please don’t go back to that restaurant again for filming your future episodes. It was very difficult listening and watching this.
Same every Friday. Guess it’s the Erdinger sponsorship so they need to be in a pub but it’s bloody distracting with all the commotion going on in the background every week and it’s usually the staff not other punters.
I think something's been said, possibly by Klopp that's changed players attitude, I'm genuinely starting to think that Klopp isn't that bothered about winning anything and that's rubbed off on the players, people like Endo don't just start playing badly,I didn't like Salahs attitude when he got subbed last week, our problems at the moment are definitely psychological
My god. Deja vu every season. “City won’t win every game”, then go and win every game. Jesus lads
Can’t you find a quieter venue for these Friday nights? Hard to concentrate on what you’re saying with all the racket in the background. Every week.
Neil losing his shit over the thought of Konate not playing against Crystal Palace. 😂
Konate, when everyone's fit, should be our 4th choice centre back. He's got the body of a Cadillac and the brains of a Mondeo.
Give over making excuses at the start, we were atrocious last night and were beat by the much better side. We give every side we play 4 or 5 golden chances every game, difference is that in Europe (even in the Europa, let alone Champions league) teams have the ability to take those chances.
Surprised Neil’s ‘thoughts’ and ‘feelings’ didn’t see that result coming. Almost like he really does not have a clue what he’s speaking about despite some weirdos on here defending his ramblings
Neil is a complete tool
I'm afraid yesterday's result is gonna translate into the PL as well. Season falling apart real quick.
Not confident at all which means we’ll probably batter them 4-0
excuses galore
The excuses wrap
Neil makes too many excuses for Robertson, once again he went pressing like a headless chicken for their second goal which left them so much space to attack
Love the content but the moment it started by making excuses for that inexcusable performance I had to swtch off.
