I think the Dunks have better colorways but none of them can stand up to the White AF1s. Also Dunks are more of a trend while Forces are timeless
I agree with u about uptown’s being timeless .. but I think dunks have lowkey stamped themselves as one of the top Nike shoes going forward like I know it’s probably a lot people that are just getting into shoes that are going to choose a dunk low over maybe shoes like the hurrache, some air max’s ect just because it looks better imo . So I wouldn’t say they’re a trend cause that means they’ll eventually fall off completely

AF1s never left the shoe game unlike dunks that are being slept on for years. They even use stussy sb dunks as a door stopper in a sneaker store which can be seen on one of Richie Le’s old vlogs. We haven’t seen someone rocking dunks for a long time not until travis scott made a hype around it. AF1s are A1 since day 1
My reason for Gettin into dunks was different
Being a part of the test program for AF1s while at the university of Oregon is what convinced Tinker Hatfield to ditch architecture and go into sneaker design. No AF1s, no Tinker.

Im taking AF1s because they stand the test of time. They’re a true classic shoe that never goes out of style and can be rocked with many different fits💯.

I think they've both stood the test of time and are iconic. For me...the dunks are more versatile. So many dope colorways from they hypebeast type joints, to the slept on...to the basic casual joints...Low and Highs are both dope. AF1s really have white lows. Black lows too if that's your thing but aren't really in from a fashion standpoint. Dunks also have had their era and are still in (maybe the tail end) of another era. Also Dunks to me are way more comfortable. Dunks for me.

I can’t disagree with the winner. Af1s are simply timeless. I’ve never owned a pair of af1s just cause they’re bulky and everyone has them. I like dunks for the “Chicago 1 style” color blocking, to me it looks odd on an af1. But af1s can pull off the solid colorways like the off whites and the white on whites. Dunks aren’t the same in a solid color imo. I’d still prefer dunks tho

AF1's got the quality, comfort, style, and history which can't be beat. The dunk silhouette does not have enough room for the color/design to fully shine like the air forces making it look like any other sneaker.

Dunks can go. Af1s legit stood the test of time. The all whites were always one of the best “beginning of the school” shoe and christmas shoe. The dunks only got hyped again cause of Travis. Y’all remember when that one store had the stussy joints as a door stop

I think because I didn’t grow up during the Air Force 1 era I don’t know that many air forces but I think Sb dunks over Air Force 1s but you because the dunk is the reason for the Jordan 1 I would keep it!

My first good Nikes were black and yellow Dunk highs. Had to recently get a pair of AF1s customized in black and yellow to replicate since can't in Dunks anymore. I'm a Hawkeye fan especially the Raveling era Dunks all the way. Don't need no strap.

AF1’s are so much more timless IMO. SBs are too different be a mainstay staple and then normal dunks look just like AJ1’s. Forces just too dope

I got my first dunks 5 months ago and have had AF1’s for the past 10 years. The dunks although hyped were a little disappointing I don’t think the hype is there for any other reason than scarcity and current trends.

I think that Dunks work better with color-blocking but that AF1s are overall more iconic, have more variety with models like the Utility/Special Forces and are better looking (love me some chonky retro sneakers m)

Dunks may be seen as just trendy right now but I personally have never and probably will never like AF1s as much as the dunks. However, I’m Gen Z and I also feel like the dunk will be to Gen Z what the AF1 is to Millennials, especially with how differently we treat each shoe.
