That's awesome to see shad being caught up there in PA. You should come on down to the Potomac in April. It is one of the most amazing thing to see! Hickory Shad, American Shad, and Stripers are all stacked up. Get them on the fly line and you'll never go back! Tight lines. Love the content!
Great show, and I’m glad you were wade fishing.
Delaware Water Gap is proudly in Pennsylvania, sir.
It's on the border between PA and NJ. Beautiful country!
Looks like it was filmed last year bc now snow on the ground and I see some early spring tree bloom...
Yes we filmed this last April. The shad run hasn't started yet.
When abouts are you guys heading down to the gap?
what's the right weight dart for around the Gap?
We were using 1/4 primarily.
Triumph Salmon/Steelhead rods?
We were using the 9-foot St. Croix Panfish Series.
Is that water fresh or brackish water... Is there a tide shift..
This is the freshwater portion. No tide shift at this point but you can catch shad downstream in the more brackish water as well.
This is not as polished as that video, but this is what I use.
