- I have a series going called "Trying White Music." This is my first time having one of my friend's on an episode! I let him choose a song to introduce me to, and he picked this! I also have a video coming where I introduce HIM to some of the rap that I listen to!

Funny...i'm from Germany and i always thought he might have some German ancestry, because of the last name "Radke" being quite a common German surname. Though upon further research i just discovered that it's apparently the germanized form of the slavic (in this case polish/ czech and sorbian) surnames "Radek/ Radka/ Radk" Sooo...i don't know, but there might also be some German or Slavic ancestry mixed in there.
Is Radke his real last name?
If so, then it's kind of strange to me that he's Native American & Portuguese, since Radke is definitely not a Portuguese surname. 🤔
Well to be fair to Ronnie , the priest did try to do an exorcism on him haha ! Ronnie is an all round singer / artist , there is literately nothing he can do , Rap , Growl , Heavy , Mellow . He has an incredible voice range !! An mixing genres is what he does best , so on that note U should deff do the trilogi , if U havent yet -.Losing My Mind , Losing My Life , Drugs , in that order ! U should also check out ; Im Not A Vampire / Im Not A Vampire Revamped , The Drug In Me Is U / The Drug In Me Is Reimagined . Its songs . from their debut album , that they redid 10 years after , exactly same lyrics , but totally diff versions ! U never really know what Ur gonna get listening to a song from this this band , for the first time . One thing U can be sure off is high quality music videos , great stories , and totally bangers ! Hope U will react some more to this band !

I always loved this type of vibe, never gotten super into falling in reverse, especially now because Ronnie keeps proving himself to be a total asshole of a person, but he is an undeniable talent and he is working with other artists I like, slaughter to prevail, dance gavin dance, tech n9ne, etc so I gotta show love.

He did do a version of this LIve. Check that out if you want to see him without the video. His body used to be covered in tattoos. A couple of years ago he blacked them all out. He said he needed to put that past away to move forward creatively. This song was purposely recorded in as many styles as he could pack together. You should check out "The Drug in Me is You/The Drug in Me is Reimagined", "I'm Not a Vampire/I'm Not a Vampire revamped", and just for fun he reimagined Papa Roach's "Last Resort" Check out all three pairs of songs. Do the original and the reimagined versions of the same song in a single video. The growth is awesome to experience.
I agree the song is okay. I like it. But it’s not top tier for me. But the transitions, from where it starts to where it ends up…that is pretty high up there for me and why I enjoy it the most.
It ain't just. Ok.its TOP tier rap. It's top tier metal vocals. It's top tier scream vocals. The bass is fucking AMAZING.

I totally agree with your take about the classics like RATM. Nothing wrong with this FIR song, but a lot of its appeal is how much of a production feat it is. On the other hand, Killing in the Name Of is so raw and real and witnessing your ability to discern that is why ppl are drawn to your reactions.

Wasn’t talking about the video. Music couldn’t sound like this in the 90’s because of technology limitations. Nothing wrong with newer music that takes advantage of modern tunation, voice synthesis, compression and quantizing tools, I’m just saying that for someone new to heavy music, he’s got a sophisticated ear to be able to appreciate the quality of 90’s RATM even though it’s way more sonically stripped-down than this.

One thing about Ronnie is that he is a musical and symbolic genius. There's definitely more to this song than what meets the eye. Ronnie isn't afraid to speak his mind and be himself. he's often misunderstood and judged by society because he doesn't conform. He calls out society for using fear to control people and how that has created a monolithic society. This is about taking your power back and embracing who you are. i understand the genre may not be for everyone but the message is powerful.
This whole song is about how people are trying to cancel him because of something that happened in his past. When he already paid for his crime. There is an interview with M. Shadows (lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold) talking about Ronnie. Listening to the interview then listening to the song again, was like putting a pair of glasses.
