    Keep it simple and go back to basics, at least for a little while! It's fun, it can destress and also reignite your love of photography if you start to get burn out. This little 21mm f/3.5 lens is a beauty.

    Your videos make me interested into raw photography again after getting bored of spec crunching and pixel peeping.

    I just picked up the Voigtlander Ultron 40mm f2 (Nikon F mount) and took it out the other day for a little road trip photo shoot. I used it for the first time on my Nikon F100 film camera but it will surely be most of the time mounted on my Nikon FE2 film camera, and I can imagine already how good it is going to be on my Fujifilm X-T20 mirrorles. I didn't see the results yet but man how good it feels just from using it, handling is really pleasant. I think I found my favorite lens so far.

    Can't wait to see your thoughts on the new Voigtlander Ultron 28mm f2 once it comes out. One of the tiniest 28mm f2 lenses around, after the Apoqualia, I think.

    You might wanna talk about, unless you have already done, Ultron 28 mm f 2. I use this with M240. An amazing lens. Not ultra sharp but the pictures taken with this have souls.

    will a adapter mess with the true focal length of the lens? Is the glass any different in one for Leica vs sony mount?

    I have both in the cart- 21mm 1.4 e-mount and the 21mm Leica mount w/ close focus adapter for eMount- both almost the same price - not sure where to go from there, lol. Ones got to be deleted from the cart….?? The lens hood on the leica version is kool. I already have the 10, 35 and 50 voightlanders but to have one be a adapted version might be interesting and allow me to expand on the leica side with my sony a7iv??

    • @chrisathanasiadisphoto
      @chrisathanasiadisphoto Před rokem +1

      Hey Chris, the f4 is wonderful but not designed for digital cameras. Shooting on digital you'll see purple color shifts on the edges.

    @Ava-wu4qp Před 4 lety +1

    For a $800 lens, I'd hope for a little more finely tuned preformance. If I just wanted a small, manual focus lens- for fun or infrequent professional work, I'll just keep buying vintage glass. I keep a Canon FD 50 1.4 and a w.rokkor 28mm 2.8 in my bag for that.
