I am shocked by Josh Greeley's weak punishment given that his offence was directed at a prospective MP. Whatever happened to all the MPs moaning about how dangerous it is to be a politician? Giving offenders who assault politicians light sentences is a recipe for disaster, as friends and relatives of Jo Cox and Sir David Amess might agree. Poor decision by the courts under this weak government. I fear this will come back to bite those at Westminster.
This smoking ban in pub gardens will be the final nail in the coffin for pubs, look at how many pubs closed after smoking was banned indoors
