Given up on cooking as chopping veggies is most boring part.
    This makes it interesting.
    How is the durability?

I have been using this type of chopper from past 15+ yrs. Blade gets dull after year or so of use. Occasionally the container compartment can break from hinges. But if u buy it from Bed bath and beyond store and hold onto ur receipt they most of the time replace it, no question asked. These usually sell for $20 + taxes. But I also use the $5 off of ur $15+ purchase. Which brings the order total down to $15 plus taxes, I think roughly $17-18 dollars!

Yes, some other brands might not be working as well as this one. But blades are good for year or so then try to get a little blunt. But I buy these from BedBath andBeyond. And if u save the original box/packaging and repack and take it back to them. They replace it with new one, Usually no questions asked. And for cleaning this Chopper....There is a tip for you, rinse it with soap, under hot water right away using the comb like tool which comes with it. I have been using these Choppers for 15+ yrs. I have gifted many to my family and friends.

I'm confused as to how the vegetables can be called chopped/diced when the finished product is not in little evenly-sized squares. To me they are more of a julienne slice (long rectangles).

End product's size will depend on the thickness of the fruit or vegetable u put on the blades. If u wish to have perfect cubes of fruits and vegetables then u will have to measure the blades height and then cut the slices of same height, to get the perfect cubes. But this Chopper/Dicer is also capable of Chopping, Dicing, Mincing, Long/Julienne cut.

@@preetycooks6774 So even though it's advertised as a chopper/dicer, it really doesn't chop/dice it juliennes. A dice is a cube. This product does not result in cubes unless the user slices the item first. Kind of defeats the purpose. If I'm going to slice the item first, I may as well just dice by hand.
