I'm a solution architect with over 16yrs of exp currently working in aws and aged about 41yr. My spouse is also a devops engg with 10yrs exp. We're exploring countries to try our luck to work overseas. Due to the age factor I think my chances are very bleak for an Australian pr but still would like to know your advise if I should take a chance once. Please do reply if possible.

Hi, thanks and Australia doesnt give PR to those above 45 years of age so you have 4 years
The whole procsss of documents and ielts or pte will take 1 year, above 40 years age points gets down to 15 for age
My suggestion is chances are very very less there is a very small chance in 491 visa and if you get 491 then after 3 years of stay in country side you can apply but my suggestion, its very difficult path for Australia
However its better to search for jobs from India to Australia in my other video you can easily get job

Hi, oh my goodness, I wasted my 3 months preparing for IELTS to 7 band, my total points are 65, I thought I will get call in next 2 years, but seems like even 85 is not enough to get call for Developer Programmer. I thought of taking PTE to score 79 and boost my points to 75, but no use. On looking at the immigration website there were certain skills where people were invited for 65 points during the December 2022 round for developer programmer the person who was picked had 85 points.
Anyway, thanks for saving my money seems like migrating to Australia will only be a dream for me.

PTE is easy, I gave IELTS 4 times and never got 7 bands, and in PTE in first attempt got 7 bands equivalent, and after 3 attempts in PTE got the 8 bands for superior english
Try PTE, its easy to crack, and try to touch 80 or 85, and then apply in 491, you will get additional 15 points for 491 visa, so you will be at 80+15 = 95 points in good zone
but first thing is to crack PTE

ACS site says if an applicant is providing documents like notary rather than a document on company’s letter head, then the applicant is required to provide a reason from the employer for not providing it.
Did you provide any document with the reason? Please suggest!

as you have done Mechanical engineering and 2 years of IT experience, so when you apply for the Assessment they will deduct 4 years of experience so you wont get any marks for work experience even after 2 years also,
About the masters in IT or computer science, as your bachelor is in Mechanical and doing masters in IT, the points will be very less even after completing the IT in masters in Australia, at-max i can see you may get around 80 points, this 80 i am talking after 4-5 years, when you would have completed Masters & have 2-3 years of IT experience in Australia, I would suggest, check Points calculator, thinking you will complete masters by 2025 or 2026, If you get less than 90 dont do masters in IT in Australia,
sorry i am not discouraging but just an advice many does masters and gets 3 years work permit in Australia and after those 3 years again enrol for some course as they do not have sufficient points, i would say please check canada options too

As you mentioned for the correspondence/distance courses we will not get the PR points, but I reached out to a few immigration consultants here in Delhi and Hyderabad as well and they told me that I will get the PR points for my bachelor's (BCA) from IGNOU. I am still confused don't know the correct answer.

The income proof is not needed, just get a document signed by a colleague or manager from that company, the proof is not needed
But we need income proof as well right for Skill assessment. I have same dilemma my first company paid in cash and was not taxable at that time, so no income proof and my consultancy saying without income proof they will need to remove that first organisation experience from my total experience 😞 can you suggest on that please?

ah Nope you will get no points for experience, so i dont want to demotivate you but you cant get 189, because for 189 you need 100 or more points,
I would suggest wait 2 years more, then apply for 491, and If you are married, you can get 10 extra points if your wife can access her degree and can get 6 bands in ielts/pte

I did Btech in ECE, PGDM in IT & Marketing specialised in Systems, 7 years worked as Business Analyst with TCS ( Though in designation it says System Analyst I guess) and for past 5 years working as a Product Owner. I don't see PO/PMs are yet a skill in demand but BA/Project managers are. I am wondering, which option should I take to maximize the score from ACS? Thanks for the awesome feedback and i sould suggest, you should get some consultation, for example you can call Y-Axis (branch closer your city like Delhi, or Chennai or Mumbai etc), and they will guide you better over phone, and then They will offer a paid assessment around 2500 INR per person, to find out your points, i would say its worth it, i would suggest call them and if you feed good you can go for the assessment and you'll have more clear picture :)

nope DHA never does verification, its already done (in 2% cases ACS does verification), but DHA never does verification, but yeah medical test is the only thing now

Hi, chances are less, after 5 years of experience your points will increase by 5, but even then the most you can get is 80 or 85, after 3-4 years you should apply, then you will have good points

with 90 points in 190 or 85 in 189, its a bit difficult, as cut-off with programmers is at 95 for 189 and 100 for 190,
However this year a lot of applications will be picked, almost doubled from last year, so maybe by June-July this cutoff comes in your favour, if you are not turning 33 in next 1-2 years the wait for now, If you are turning 33 this year, Then apply for 491 also
and I would suggest apply for 261312 also along with 261313,
as more files gets picked for 261312 almost 3-4 times more files, so chances are more in 261312

@@NeverendingfootstepsOfDEBMALYA you can check the cut-off in the immi website perhaps. I'm not really sure how a "Software Tester" doubles up as a "Software Engineer", so cannot really comment here. It would be better to stick to the ANZSCO that much aligns with your duties and responsibilities. However, this is my opinion, I would like Gaurav to chime in on this.

Hi bro, to be honest, very difficult as you have 6 years of experience in computer operator and if you start working as software engineer by the time you will have more than 8 years of experience you maybe over 32 and looking at the queue PR in IT is almost impossible,
My suggestion is to either go to Australia for masters or New Zealand for Level 9 education
Both are good options and New Zealand option will less to Australia after 4-5 years

I would suggest do notary on college Semester mark sheets and degree scan, However i have heard from some people, after covid ACS accepting all documents without notary, but as corona is gone so i would suggest to notorize all documents

For 189/190 make sure to get 90 points as cut off is very high

I remember I had to remove first company from my experience for assessment and for full process,
On the other hand, if you include the experience, and ACS does verification for 2% of cases, and if you got unlucky then ACS will reject the case, and You have 2 options
1. Make an Appeal, payment is needed, and if ACS Approves in appeal, you will get refund, if not Then This outcome is final
2. Apply ACS in another ANZSCO code, with removal of the experience you got rejected first

If you are married, you can get 10 more points if Your Partner gives IELTS and gets 6 bands at-least, and if he gets his skill assessment too

no problem, you can still include that experience, do you know any manager or your colleague from that company who worked with you in that company, you can get his signature on the documents not a problem, you can use that experience :)
