Great Video. The company where Mihiran worked, won the Great Place to Work award in 2020. What a pity state of affairs. I think its time re-evaluate, re-think software industry practices in every aspect. Client negotiation, realistic time lines, work-life balance, empathy from the leadership etc. We can't afford to lose any life anymore!

I'm also having the same issue. Two of my senior engineers left the company in the same month and now I'm the only one in the team. All the workload now on my hand.
Tough times! Don’t forget to constantly take breaks and avoid over-working! Set the expectations beforehand.

If possible, try to put more time into your business and then see if it grows. I’m not sure how government jobs, but usually you can take Sabbatical leave. Or during school vacations.

That’s true in most of the cases. That’s why I mentioned in the beginning that this is directed at IT related jobs. For other jobs, there can be other ways to tackle this which I don’t really know.
