  • Having only had my Sony 70 -350mm lens for about 3 weeks now, I thought I would create a little slide show to show you some of the photos I have taken. I am far from professional but thought you may like to see the quality.

    Nice pictures!!!!
Initially I thought of getting this lens but looks like Tamron 18-300 will fit my all round zoom requirements and I am eagerly waiting for it.

Marc, I bought this lens a few weeks ago and I'm using it with the ZV E10. The results so far are stunning (for me at least).
    Nice work and thank you

It is a great lens. The only thing that lets it down for me is the focal distance, it's just not enough. But apart from that its amazing. Sharp and light.

I just got my a6400 and looking for good tele and this 70-350mm was one I found. Good to see your beautiful photos and I think you convinced me.

It's great, I'm really impressed with it. Very sharp. The only thing is I wish it had more reach, but I think you would feel like that with any lens you buy. Don't let that put you off though. Highly recommended.

@@marcburdenphotography hy it does not seem that sharp to me on a 15.6 inch 1080p screen wahtcing in 4k res. why is that? deoes the sigma 100-400 perform significantly better on an a7c full frame?

@@k.o.t.o.n. CZcams’s compression. It is a very sharp lens for a super telephoto. This is aps-c lens, so a it will only work in crop mode on full frame.

@@k.o.t.o.n. as the comment below states, CZcams compression has a big part to play in it, also this was about 6 months into me owning my first camera, so I was very new to photography and the focus and settings may not have been the best. But I can vouch that this is a very sharp lens.

Hey Marc, those images are stunning.
I’m looking for a telephoto lens. I have few in mind. Could you please let me know which one to pick. Sony 70-350, sigma 100-400 full frame , tamron 70-180 f2.8 and tamron 150-500 full frame which recently announced. Thanks for all your help. I’m looking for wildlife and potraits.

You want the lower number , really something like a 35mm or 50mm for portraits. So if you want the one lens that does portraits and wildlife I would go with the Sony 70-350. It has the lowest number eg 70mm and would go further than the tamronn in regards to reach. 150-500 would be too much for portraits. The sigma is a good lens but a lot heavier than the Sony. Also this would be no good for portraits. You are pushing it really even with the Sony, but out of what you mentioned that would be my choice.

I always use Intelligent mode and Continuous focus on my ZV-E10. I am learning to use manual focus. Can you give me some tips. Thanks.

All I can say, first is to pick a subject that is stationary and try that way, dont try to go out and master manual focus on a moving subject. Focus on the eye and practice practice practice.

Nice pictures. How do you get the black background around the swans / ducks? Is it just a photoshop edit, or was there some camera settings involved?

Hi. Iam using this lens but if I make a photo from bigger distance. Cca 100m the focused animal is not sharp. When I set from 1/800 to 1/2000 is was not sharp on f6.5 what can be the problem

    • @marcburdenphotography
      @marcburdenphotography  Před rokem

I really dont know. I have had no problems with this lens. Always double your shutter speed to your lens setting. e.g. shoot at 300mm minimum shutter speed 1/600. Apart from that I wouldnt know without seeing your photos. Maybe a faulty lens?
