    Did you have to know any previous trek experience before attempting this trek ? i have done kedarkantha trek before ...is it enough

    • @wayfarersimi
      @wayfarersimi  Před 3 lety

      I went for Chadar trek just three months before this trek, but Chadar in my opinion was a totally different experience.
      Since you have done Kedarkantha before, you do have an experience of a Himalayan trek. I feel it is enough as long as you have moderate level of fitness. Fitness is very important if one wants to enjoy this trek. Good luck, hope I was able to answer your concern. Let me know if you have any other question regarding the trek. will be happy to help.

      Seems you guys had a solid snow to walk on.. but we had powder snow, hip deep. So we could do only the mini Pangarchulla which was right next to it.
      It was a crazy, memorable one for me. As it was my first Himalayan trek ever. Planning pin Bhaba pass next. What's yours ?

      Hi.. Baat ye hai ki summit tak pahunchna bahut hi mushkil ho jata hai, because campsite kafi door hai , camping restrictions ki vajah se... Jab tak hum summit ke ass pass pahunchte hai, dopahar ho jati hai if we are not fast enough.. but bahut sare group the TTH ke humare baad wale jo summit kar paye the...

    • @wayfarersimi
      @wayfarersimi  Před 3 lety

      You should go for it if you feel you have moderate fitness. Till the base camp, this trek is not at all difficult, its easy infact. But, its the summit day thats really long and challenging. But its a beautiful experience.. Go ahead and experience it. We were so close to the summit, but still had to return back . Its the experience and the attempt that matters. If you love mountains, and would enjoy 5-7 days camping.. then go for it. Good luck with that

    Can we do pangarchula and kuari pass in a week ?
    In next month mid of may

    • @wayfarersimi
      @wayfarersimi  Před 3 lety

      Thank you so much.
      So, answering your questions:-
      1. A fit trekker can do Pangarchulla peak trek and Kuari pass in a week( if trek from Dhak Village is considered as day 1)
      2. Remember to work on your fitness, and keep a rest day between Kuari pass and Pangarchulla peak trek if you are considering both 3. Both will be a long trek, specially the Pangarchulla Peak trek, and infact most of the trail for both treks is same till a point .
      4. Consider discussing the plan with your guide and team as it might be a little challenging.
      Good luck with your trek.

      @wayfarersimi  Před 3 lety

      Hi Nilesh. April first week is a good time for this trek. Personally I had a lovely experience with Trek the Himalayas. Experienced trek leaders and great arrangement too. No, they do not provide you with jacket. They will only arrange your tents, sleeping bags, microspikes if required and food. It is better to buy a jacket I would say. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help

      the total amount came up to Rs 11,340( included GST and all expenses from Haridwar to Haridwar) and I did book my adventure insurance from asc360 which was some additional, but you can opt for cheaper options like Bajaj Allianz for the insurance part.

      7895568363- This is Pankaj's Watsapp number, our trek leader during Pangarchulla trek. He is a local of Uttarakhand and also leads various treks and expedition himself.

    Hey what about kuari paas ?? In TTH iternery , trek day3 is kuari paas and day 4 is pangarchula

    • @wayfarersimi
      @wayfarersimi  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Namrata,
      Yes, in their itinerary, during our time too it was the same. But, Instead of Kuari pass, we all decided to attempt Pangarchulla as the weather was clear, and about 70 % of The Pangarchulla summit attempt is on the Kuari pass trek trail. Moreover, doing the Kuari pass trek a day before the summit attempt would become too challenging. Plus, because of the camping restrictions in the meadow, the base camp is much lower than how it was 3 years back, so we did not do the Kuari pass, but attempted the summit directly. Thats how we got an additional day after the summit day, and instead went on a hike to Tali lake , which is also really lovely.

      @@namratashukla5740 so, it all depend on which month you are doing the trek, also on the weather condition. The trek leaders will themselves suggest it and discuss it with all the trekkers if that would be necessary before making any changes, as they know that area best. What I would suggest is that just go for the trek, enjoy the amazing view..In our case, it was suggested by our Trek leader as we got a good weather window, and we all unanimously agreed to it. Good luck with your trek.
