What's Vvd thinking at that moment?? Mac Allister clearly surrounded by three players.. just clear the ball!!
He couldn't think. Even he doesn't any brain. He has only his butt to block the ball. He is a cinderella.
Positives:
*Big improvement from a 3-0 loss last season
*Salah staying consistent
*Great saves from Alisson
*Szoboslai getting better every game
*Macca did well considering he doesn’t play as a 6 normally
*Tight at the top of the prem, I still believe we are title contenders, it’s still early days
Negatives:
*We need the old VVD back, sloppy pass with 3 players around Macca
*Grav should of started instead of Elliot
*Robbo could of got his head on that cross from the free kick to save the game (was there a shout to leave from someone, seemed like he pulled away for an unknown reason/communication error)
*Unlucky from Grav, really should of scored from a yard out, but to then only hit the bar (More goals will come no doubt)
*The penalty given to us should of been at least a yellow or red (ref brought a card out but put it back in his pocket)?!
*Slow start and conceding 1st doesn’t help, really need to manage & organize around this
*Not enough low through balls which is where we have found most of our goals this season.
Overall 6.5/10 from the players combined.
Looking forward to beating Neverton @ Anfield ✅ Biggest test will be against City. We will collect full points from next 4 matches. ❤️🏆
Mac Allister is not a DM, stop putting him there... there hasn't been a game where he doesn't get dispossessed and it finally resulted in a goal for the opponent at the weekend. Oh, and he always get yellow for late tackles.
City next 6 or 7 games are really hard

There is a big vulnerability on the build-up, mostly on the first half. Most of the teams already know how to counter our build-up, doing high pressure and mostly having 2 or 3 near Macca or Endo ( I notice on cup games that also). Coaches need to pick up this vulnerability, learn and train a way to build up without getting stuck to much with the high pressure in our own field. At least 3 goals this season have come up with high pressure into our dm's and defenses mostly in the first half.

Gravenberch should have scored but unlucky, Robbo could have avoided Dunk's goal but I think he feared own goal Anymway fair result when we look the performance of both teams, Brighton is definitely our bogey team in PL.
Just don't play Mac as a 6 it is that simple. And tell VVD to stop being casual. other wise great performance from Salah, TAA, Nunez, Matip, and Szoboss. especially TAA and Matip pocketed Ferguson and Mitoma they deserve recognition. And Gravenberch too was very good despite the missed sitter

Our defense is beginning to leak and VVD looks a shadow of his former self. Mac Allister is no 6 either. Thought Gravenberch was brought in for that job. THE BENEFIT OF THIS IS:
You can pass or shoot very quickly with the outside of the boot and beat defenders, midfielders or Goalkeepers, just watch Mo Salah!
This art is not just for forwards,
it should be used by all our GK, Defenders, Midfielders and Forwards.
If Right footed you can curve it outwards to the right when passing or shooting the ball.
If Left footed its the same but the other way.
Instead of using the weaker foot and trying to curve the ball when shooting or passing and NOT getting good power or precision on the ball, why not use the outside of your good foot!
You can clear the ball with the outside of your boot
(Robbo could have used the outside of his left boot to clear the ball against Brighton freekick and Matip could used the outside of his right boot to clear it against Tottenham)
You can shock the defenders and goalkeepers in making fast shots with the outside of your boot, the Goalkeeper wont have the time to react if you strike it fast.
When shooting with outside of your boot it gives you precision, good connection and good curve on the ball.
This is a forgotten art, signed and donned by Roberto Carlos and our own Mohamed Salah is using this ALOT when assisting to his teammates.
Hope that our LFC players see this text and actually use this Art!

The opening goal from Brighton can largely be attributed to a defensive lapse by Liverpool's Mac Allister. His lack of agility and physical presence made it challenging for him to control the ball effectively, creating an opportunity for Brighton to seize and score. He should be replaced by Endo.

Liverpool have been one of the strongest transitional side in England and Europe under Jurgen Klopp but now Liverpool defensively is struggling. We dropped 7 points so far and we are going to play vs teams tactically are not easy to beat .Could Klopp consider moving to a 3-5-2 formation for protection against the counter attack and to maximise the strength of Liverpool backs.
Why wasn't that penalty in first half, when ball was clearly touched by van dijk's hand?
That was not just a pen it should have been a red-- clear and obvious goal scoring opportunity with no attempt to play the ball.

In the midfield we need strong and speedy player to cover midfield.
We need replace Diaz, he isn't near salsbourg mané, ok we don't replace Diaz with mané, but Diaz need do something that mané can do, like passing ball and assist to striker.
VVD, Robertson and Mac make mistake, but they're play very will, just Brighton players especially in adingra possession he is too fast react and score.
If klop wants play Eliot in first eleven, Liverpool need buy DM like Andre from Brazil league, hope Liverpool buy in January, if Mac and Andre in middlefield and szobosslay behind Darwin, it will be more compact.
Liverpool draw duo to of not attacking, Liverpool player can't service Darwin, instead of player assist to striker, striker assisting and make possession for players, I didn't see this situation in any other teams.

This match is an evidence our backline is suffering. The defense is not in great shape. Also mac shouldn't have been played as a 6 and Grav should have started instead of Elliot.

First conceded goal is entirely VVD fault.. Hard pass in a crowded midfield... He didn't even try to slide to give Allison some hope.
Second goal is Robbo fault. He just jumps. No movement to block the cross.

Many times, Alisson passes the ball to a friend without taking advantage. and often loses the ball to opponents Until the goal was lost And this is one of them.
Klopp style of football is shambolic! 4 midfielders and no defensive competition for fullbacks. Robertson, VVD and TAA are always starting players. Klopp is complacent and it shows! That is why Pep will always be the better of them two! Pep is ruthless and innovative, and this is coming from a liverpool fan who has suffered under the dominance of the Manchester clubs in the Prem!
