1st you need a wagon like I have in the video, there not to hard to find, then once you have the wagon and ready to cross into New Austin, Go to where I show you on the map. Then go to settings and then in to the camera part and turn off "Camera Follow Level" this will left you move the camera around manually in New Austin so the sniper doesnt hit Arthur.
This way you can get the dinosaur bones and the few plants for Herbalist Rank 9 But caution, doing this is a bit tricky getting in and out of the wagon, you got to put the camera in the right spot so the sniper doesnt hit you getting in or out of the wagon. it took me a bit of trial and error to get it right and I still have trouble doing it. All I can say is, take your time and dont rush it, be careful. plus many ppl say you will not run in to the Pinkerton's in New Austin, most of the time you wont, but there is the rare occasion that you may run into one, but that depends how many chase you getting into New Austin as well.
If you only have one encounter like I did in this video, you wont run into none of them in New Austin. but if you die in New Austin a few times and keep going back, the chances of you running in to them raises. I found that out the hard way. its probably after the 4th or 5th death and how they spawn up near Blackwater. it all depends on that is you run into them in New Austin

This glitch still works.I picked up all the new Austin plants BUT this can get VERY FRUSTRATING you have to position the camera before picking them up

I know it still works, I doubt rockstar will patch this, its the only way for Arthur to complete all the challenges and get the legend of the east outfit, but getting the herbs in new austin

I hate how the legendary pronghorn is in new Austin. The trinket would’ve been perfect for Arthur, it’s pretty useless for John

I agree with u. But u can get it for arthur too. I've seem a guy use a buggy to hunt the legendary animals in new Austin to get the pelts etc and the trinkets for them.

Show yourself to the cops in the Angelo Bronte graveyard mission. Go to Blackwater with John. The invisible sniper is disabled. Collect the trinkets and return to the mission. I did these with Arthur.

This is one of my biggest gripes. It could've been a staple early game and actually useful when we are all over the place but late game I never needed a carcas at all. Not for any reason. No outfits crafting or satchels, didn't need money. Should've swapped that prize with another one

Would the covered buggy protect you better maybe? And what about wearing the metal skull mask, or the pagan skull mask, for extra protection?

Buggy works too. As for the mask, won't work, its a one shot kill with the sniper in new Austin

Yes and no, yes the wagon gives u more protection from the sniper, no it moves alot slower then the buggy. In my opinion the wagon and buggy are both just as good to use for this, it all comes down to the person's opinion.

Could you try to go inside a building or can the sniper still get you indoors?

Not 100% sure on that. All I know is, when getting the dinosaur bones and the herbs for herb 9, you need to use a buggy from Saint Denis or wagon like one in the video. I guess if you time it right between shots u could try to get into a building. From memory it's about 2 to 3 seconds between shots.

You can go inside the blackwater saloon i did yesterday and had a huge shoot out with the law so I assume you should be able to access all the buildings except the stables but im not sure
