- This short film is produced by Nagaland State Biodiversity Board (NSBB) to commemorate the Celebration of International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) on 22nd May, 2020 under the theme “Our Solutions are in Nature”, and to create awareness on the objectives of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD):
1. Conservation of biological diversity;
2. Sustainable use of its components; and
3. Fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising out of the utilization of genetic resources.

My father has always encouraged me to plant trees right after cutting it. We have been doing it together for about 7 years now and some are ready to be cut for fire but we will do it only when needed and plant it again right after doing so.

Fun fact: plant ten trees in place of one we chopped down.
My ans; During environment day students plant trees ,and that tree sapling they take it from the forest which I belief if they don't take the sapling the young tree will make it to maturity,but when they are taken to plant on environment day some of them dies ,so sad
Instead of that why don't we tell them to look after 10 trees in the forest ,
Because I did it to and from my experience they die when I plant it after I bring the sapling from the forest
Actually they don't take the sapling which has already grown in the forest.
But they collect the seeds from the forest and keep it in nursery and then they(Forest department) disburse them to whoever order them
Mostly everyone buy from nursery shop but the problem is that it needs to be look after for atleast 2yrs which no one does...

I used to talk to my love once, how would we explain to our grand children and those young ones who are yet to set foot on our very earth, one day, only if they are able to know the existence of plants and animals only through the books. What if they ask, how n what do they look like?..how we couldn't do anything during our time when we still have a chance... My grandfather once planted some trees on a boundary forming his plot...and those trees are the subject matter of the Case (suit) which is still pending in Village Council Court.

This is so true. We must take care of our environment. Just the other day my neighbor killed a bird just for fun. I told him we are lossing our fauna in nagaland rapidly and he just gave me a reply 'dont worry we have lots back in our village'. It was so sad.😖 we people of nagaland still dont know our blessings in flora n fauna, instead of preserving it, taking care and planting more trees,they think only about the present. They kill and eat, Chop and burn. We must wake up fast.

This is right.The main problem is plastic and the easiest problem to solve is also plastic.It can either destroy nature or it can save.We r just throwing plastic around here and there.I am not one of that many of my friends r same.The thing is that we r carrying no plastic mission.We teach our junior not to throw plastic still there r some who r throwing.It our mistake that we r not strictly taking action so sorry but we r trying.It is the work of elder to teach his or her junior the right thing.But our senior r not like that and we have no strength to face them and tell them.So pls help other people and tell them not to throw plastic anywhere except the dustbin.😶
