I agree with you on why he might be insecure but I think both of them are insecure.And his brother is an ass because he doesn't admit he is jealous of Alex being with Jackie.Even what you say might be true I'm team Alex because he doesn't have charisma to him but He doesn't go after a girl his brother has.
I believe Jackie Jackie is very insecure and too vulnerable to be with Cole. It felt more like a guilty pleasure than romance with him. Cole had components to him that lures girls in and it seems muniplative. Sure it may seem that he changed but true change comes in character and not because you start treating someone better. He has no honor or respect for his brother and was willing to betray him to get what he wanted. He gives In to his emotional instability as easy as Jackie does . He could’ve turned Jackie down when she kissed him but when you’re only think of what you want and no one else, you don’t care who you hurt or the consequences that follow.

I found it an amazing review. Alex is so insecure, it ruins a lot. And that she left… yeah, I found it strange that she didn’t break up with Alex, episode 9-10 she draws back from him, when you see them sit next to each other, dancing, really everything shows that she is uncomfortable.

Preach. Team Cole. Alex was always way too insecure from the get go plus he puts on such a nice guy act but let's face it there's an asshole living inside every guy. With Cole what you see is what you get but then we get the added bonus of seeing him want to become a better guy and not because Jackie is changing him but because he truly wants to make something of himself since he lost football. All Jackie did was wake that part of him up. I'm a sucker for character growth and Cole Walter gave us so much of it. But really what scenario is there where Jackie and Cole could be free to be in a happy relationship? That doesn't seem likely unless Alex undergoes some growth and gains some confidence. Neither Cole or Jackie wanted to hurt Alex but I mean DAMN that kiss of theirs blew any she shared with Alex out of the water.
Yea Cole stole the show for sure…I hope Alex gets an arc in S2.

Your analysis of Alex is wrong. Alex was obviously captivated by Jackie before he even knew cole was interested...it had ntn to do with the pretty girl who chose him eventhough Alex is insecure his behavior is normal for a teenager stop judging it as if he's a grown man his behavior towards cole was normal it is normal for a man to be territorial over his girl especially if he knows the other guy wants his girl... Cole as the older brother who is more experienced with women never took a step back eventhough his younger brother was dating jackie he never gave them a chance to date and let their relationship die down...how he acted makes it way much harder to believe what he said about the Paige thing because he was blatantly and actively looking his younger brother's girl and even outright asked her why she was with him now you tell me how did that douchbag stole the show...I can agree that Alex made some mistakes in his relationship with jackie but he's young and inexperienced but even so he is acting more realistic than Cole
@@kashthegreatman612 Cole certainly was an ass as well but lets be honest Cole didn't even really realize there was anything between Alex and Jackie until he saw them kiss. By then he was actively pursuing her what with the kind gestures and real conversations so of course he reacted with hurt and jealousy. Both boys are young and immature i mean they're teenagers. But for me its the obvious flaws and the growth in recognizing them in himself that makes me Team Cole. Alex just wants to play victim because he isn't the "hot" brother. He says so when he and Cole finally talk it out. It isn't really about Jackie at all. It was about feeling inferior to his older brother. That's something he'll need to grow out of next season if he wants to find real love. Because even Jackie can see it. There's a reason she didn't say she loved Alex back.

I loved your perspective. I couldn't agree more. Someone finally says what I've been thinking. I have to say that I find Jackie to be a bit of a culprit too. We know she will go back to Colorado and that will be very interesting. I wish when Alex told Jackie he loved her, that she was honest with him and told him she did not love him. She was implicit in this. I was disappointed with her lack of honesty. Jackie leaving didn't prevent a fall out. She just won't be there for it. I thought it was a bit cowardly. The fall out will occur while she's gone. It will all come out as the Walters, Cole and Alex deal with the fact she left and why. I believe everyone will feel they contributed to her leaving in some way.
Yes. Except I am not sure that Alex will at all blame himself or disclose that he told Jackie he loved her - he jumped straight to blaming Cole, without any evidence, and that is his usual behaviour.
Ideally they should all see that Jackie had been under enormous pressure from the start, due to her need to fit in after her bereavement, and had got herself into a corner with Alex that she had not had time to sort out, and meanwhile had judged Cole a bit quickly, when she could only see the facade he was putting on.
I think she was going to say something to Alex when she went up to his room the evening of the wedding - but found him passed out from too much drink. At least lovely Nathan will be able to say she came up and had to go away.
Spot on🎯 I think Alex likes or even loves her in his twisted competitive way. The only person Jackie confides her true feelings about things is to Cole. And, Jackie brings out the best in Cole. #TeamCole all the way

I think you are absolutely right. If you look at it, Cole has always been the one to step up first and do something for Jackie. Like at lunch, her dinner, Custard, and the tea pot. You called it a dance and that's true and beautifully put. Cole knows exactly when she needs him. He understands how broken she is and just wants to fix her, and doesn't know he's fixing himself in the process. (Stopped being a playboy, summer school) Alex was always way too pushy and needy. He is so tunnel visioned to win her that he is ignoring everything else around him like bff Kylie.... Jackie felt forced with him. Cole is actually very gentle with her. He feels deeply, probably for the first time. ❤ Love the show. TEAM COLE!!!

I like seeing Cole’s growth throughout the season where he wants to change and become someone Jackie can respect. Alex just wants to ‘prove’ he can get the girl Cole obviously wants.

Do you guys notice Cole has always done something good for Jk, the lunch, the teapot, the flowers for wedding and when she got lost in the woods.
I just have to say, that my main problem with Jackie and Alex isn't his obsession with Jackie as a trophy like many of you pointed out but instead his hatred for Cole. The most important thing for Jackie is family because she lost it. And in her eyes Alex doesn't value his family especially Cole. So I don't see how they can be together in season 2 if Alex doesn't get over this because Jackie hates it. I liked their chemistry in the first few episodes until Jackie realised at the gala event of Katherine, that Alex wouldn't get over himself, not even for Katherine. And this broke her growing love into friendship with Alex.
This is so well said and almost word for word how I felt. I just hope Jackie and Cole are eventually able to find their way back to each other next season.

Alex is trying really hard to win Jackie, which makes me wonder if shes just a trophy for him. There's a stronger connection between Cole and Jackie, even though she's fighting it because of the playboy Cole is. Alex is a safer bet for her, but her feelings are stronger for Cole.

Jackie obviously left bc she knew she wanted to be with Cole but bc of Alex’s confession of love and Alex & Cole’s past discourse over Paige, Jackie leaves. She didn’t want to cause more trauma between the brothers imho. And she knew she would bc she knew she wanted Cole.

Alex really screwed it up with the pda and everything treating her how she wasn’t meant to be treated which is why I was so excited when Cole decided to change for the better. Not only but before that was he giving Jackie what she needed, space, but even after he saw how she needed someone he came to the rescue. And he didn’t deny when people said he was a bad person, I mean Alex saying he peaked sophomore year AND accusing him of saying he cried like a little b was messed up as it is. Just because someone’s bad doesn’t mean they’d try to ruin you life and on top of all that cole didn’t even know Alex was dating Paige, he literally did nothing wrong meanwhile Alex is over here ruining cole life more then it’s already ruined after the knee incident, and for what? Just to use Jackie as a trophy for “getting a new pretty girl to like me” I really hope Jackie comes back in season 2 when Alex leaves for camp and makes it serious with cole. if you guys saw, danny got into the juliard program (prefacing him going to new york) and jackie mentioned that her uncle can help him with board and tuition. on the right, next to uncle richard is danny and jackie was putting away her carry on in the compartment above. i think she's trying to help danny out while escaping the whole cole and alex situation, especially when alex drunkingly told her he loved her and then jackie finding the repaired teapot in cole's & danny's room while kissing her boyfriend's older brother

Team Cole. Honestly, I think Alex is knowingly manipulative, and Jackie is a rebound he uses to dangle his conquest in front of Cole. Personally, Alex makes me cringe and I never saw the reason for Jackie’s attraction (other than she’s stubborn and didn’t want to give in to her attraction to Cole for principle purposes!)

How can you say that Alex was manipulating her? He clearly liked Jackie the second he saw her, before he even knew Cole liked her. How could he have planned to use her as a rebound to get back at Cole? At one point he admitted to the extra PDA because he was understandably hurt by Cole in the past, but he and Jackie talked about it and made up, so you can’t use that as an excuse. He just liked a girl and didn’t want to lose Jackie to his older brother, he had just as much right as Cole to be with Jackie and she chose him the whole time even when she knew Cole was an option.
Alex noticed right away that Cole and Jackie had eyes for each other. I can't help but think he wanted Jackie so Cole couldn't have her. The pda right in front of him was not about him caring for her but to make cole jealous. Yes she should have broken up with him first but sometimes things happen and your emotions get the best of you.

I think it was vague because it was meant to address multiple things. She's apologizing to Alex for cheating. She's apologizing to Cole for leaving him, after they finally shared their feelings. She's apologizing to Katherine for leaving, after saying she felt at home there. She's also apologizing to the family for being the source of what will be a huge blowout, once Alex finds out what happened.

In the book it says the exact same thing. !!SPOILER!! During the wedding, Jackie told Cole she liked him and Alex overheard her say it. (Keep in mind Alex and Jackie were still dating when she confessed to Cole.) In the morning after the wedding, Alex confessed that he only wanted to be with Jackie to prove to Cole that he could get a girl and he was trying to prove to himself and his ex, Mary, that he was over her. Jackie said she only dated Alex because he was the safe option and didn’t want to date Cole because he was trouble, unpredictable and he could’ve ruined everything she was working towards. After this whole talk they break up and Jackie leaves to New York, but before she gets to the airport Cole and Jackie share a kiss and Jackie indirectly promises that they will have a chance to get together when she comes back to Colorado for school in the fall.

I need a season 2! I’m team Alex ❤ Alex is so kind hearted smart and funny and cute and then Cole is kinda bratty and rude. They’re the complete opposite of each other. I feel like this explanation is perfect. I don’t believe Alex is not into her. I feel like they could be great friends though and not dating. My favourite character is Alex Walter in the show I have a crush on Alex. The Alex effect is real. Season two is coming late 2024 or early 2025. Alex deserves someone so much better than Jackie. Jackie doesn’t even like Alex well as a friend not a boyfriend maybe I don’t know. I don’t believe you really. I feel like he might be a little clingy at times but that’s it. Jackie definitely knew that Cole liked her before she started dating Alex and knew anything about Paige. She chose Alex instead of going after Cole. She only wanted to kiss Cole because she was surprised by the teapot and felt connected to her sister in that moment. Afterwards, she came back to reality and realized that she really cared about Alex and didn’t want to hurt him because he was more important to her. Alex really liked her and tried his hardest to let her see that. If you really liked someone, wouldn’t you try to get them to like you back and be really upset if your sibling stole them from you when they knew how you felt? Alex’s reaction would be completely justified and he has every right to be upset at Cole and Jackie for what they did. That just means that he really loved Jackie and didn’t want to lose her to his brother who was always taking things from him. If Cole really cared, he would have let Jackie be with who she chose, which was Alex

When he grab her arm and put near the wall,she had 2min pause to leave,.Cole break the kiss more than once,again she kept responding. That kiss was more than a teapot. The fact that cole stop and she pulled him in again,she held his face shows she had feelings for him that go way beyond the teapot. Idk the know the reason y she left, we don't even know if the note was for alex. But one thing is clear .....her feelings run far deeper for cole than alex.

I really hope they remove Alex from her next season and allow him to move on. He’s a smart kid with a bright future and doesn’t deserve to be treated that way. Jackie is an emotional wreck that needs serious therapy. Hopefully she gets some when she goes back to NY. You can’t play with ppl hearts and think that it won’t come back to haunt. She’s in love with Cole and I know Cole cares about here but man did they make a mess of it. When the show started I really had no problem with Cole and Jackie being together because they had obvious chemistry and connection. But having trouble believing that you can find love by cheating or betrayal. It’s just not realistic under those circumstances. Love is pure and kind and you others to be happy because you found it in someone that gives you all the great feelings of being in love. Jackie won’t get that with Cole because of how she went about obtaining him. She won’t get Alex approval now. She’s gonna go into a situation with Cole with some type of regret and insecurity about them being together. She definitely needs to break up with Alex though. I 100% disagree. Alex is not the culprit here. Here are the reasons why :
- Alex is in love with Jackie. He does everything for her, even if it is clingy. Falling in love for the first time is like that : he is blinded by her, he does too much but all is done in a sweet way. And isn't Nathan doing the same in a way with Skylar ? He wrote him a song before even dating ! Jackie and Alex are dating in the serie...dating involves much of what he does. He is honest, supportive, and comprehensive to some actions she does and she shouldn't be doing when dating someone.. He thinks he doesn't deserve her and that is why he truly does, and is actually too good for her for even (since she cheated on him).
- the whole serie extols the virtues of communication. And Jackie doesn't. She should have communicated with Alex, just like Will and Hayley do. The minute Jackie stopped liking him, or felt embarrassed, she should have told him. It's so unfair for him. She is DATING Alex and that implies being honest. Or if she had feelings for Cole, she should have never got with Alex in the first place.
- Cole loves Jackie but he also loves his brother. And because he loves Jackie, he should let her be in love with her brother and stop interfering. Cole is toic, he drinks, he treats girls like shit, ruins his mother's night and even tells Jackie "i wish you never came". What a gentleman. Even comparing Cole and Alex behaviour when Jackie is drunk : Cole wants to kiss her, he does'nt really care, whereas Alex respects her enough not to kiss her in a state in which she might regret it.
- with all that being said, I believe that she is incapable of really communicating. She is running away from her problems by getting on this plane. If the serie had ended on that last scene, Alex would have never known that she cheated on him. She doesn't want to face the consequences of her actions, she may fear Cole's reaction on the next day, or having to tell Alex (which she should have done from the start).
But truly put yourself in Alex's shoes. What did he do wrong ? He was so proud of her, he showed her around because he was not embarrassed. Even at the rodeo competition he holds her in public (when he puts his arm around her) without knowing that Cole is watching. She is no trophy to him, he loves her.
This is the best thing anyone has ever said. You said exactly what I’m feeling. Jackie chose Alex from the beginning and if she really liked Cole instead, she would have chose him or told Alex how she felt. I’m sure that if she wanted to be with Cole, she would have told Alex and he would have let her go because he loved her. Cole wouldn’t do that and still tried to be with her when she was in a happy relationship that also happened to be WITH HIS BROTHER who he claimed to never try and hurt, but he was doing exactly that

Also wanna add that in the scene where Cole wants to kiss drunk Jackie (controversial already), he gonna do it not because “she is the girl of his dream” but because Erin egg on him, he wanna do it to prove Erin how less she means to him. How…romantic)) I think that idea of bad boy that treats different only one, the right girl is kinda toxic, looks attractive in cinema but if you think it’s absolutely not.

alex does the weird thing during fights where he gets all sad and manipulates her into thinking hes the victim in every situation. plus hes too obsessed with her, even from the second he met her, which seems good but its also kind of creepy. he kept following her around all over the place like a puppy. hes too desperate
I could never do that to my brother! Ever! Once Jackie made her initial choice, Cole should’ve moved on and been happy for his brother. I would hope none of you agreeing with the immorality of cheating, would ever do this to your brother or sister because they’re bf or gf is hot or cute. Just like I hope none of your siblings would do that to you neither. Because it’s the ultimate betrayal to take your siblings partner and Alex and Jackie had been together for months.
Jackie could have gone for whichever boy in the beginning, but she went for Alex and they lasting a long time. That shows that she truly liked Alex and Cole should have respected her decision. Cole and Jackie have “chemistry” because Cole liked Jackie and would do whatever she said, and people only like Cole and Jackie bc they like Cole themselves. Alex was right for Jackie bc he really cared about her and would do anything to help her when she needed him. He was just really sick and tired of Cole getting everything he wanted and he stuck up for himself and got the girl, fair and square, but Cole couldn’t let it go and messed everything up

He only wants her sexually and probably smashed her in the barn 😂. That’s why she ran lol. She had the audacity to condemn Paige for cheating and Erin for being his flunky only to came back and make the exact same mistake smh. The ending sucked on soooo many levels but I like drama and will watch S2 to see how this plays out. In the end what goes around comes around and Jackie needs to learn this the hard way

@@lakeshow-vq1rm In real life, I would agree, but on the show, that isn't how he's being portrayed with Jackie. He was hesitant to even go for another kiss, initially, and then, when he did, he wasn't groping her or even French kissing her. I don't think that scene was at all intended to be him trying to get in her pants. She's the one who initiated it, and in the middle of it, he even stepped back to see how she was feeling and to let her take the lead. Honestly, I think he likes her too much to try to push for anything physical that she isn't ready for. With all that said, it's of course not how things go in real life, but then again, this show is a fantasy. I suspend my disbelief, so that I can enjoy the story they're telling.

You can’t make a video claiming to be all factual analysis and say these things. This video was made purely to convince people that Alex was the bad guy and that we should like Cole. This analysis is so biased towards Cole and lacks actual evidence. Just because Alex was proud of Jackie and didn’t want to lose her doesn’t mean he was manipulative or using her.
