I have seen the film and saw on the ending captions that the Fisherman's Friends were at Glastonbury in 2011. I was busy with my Uni studies at the time to take notice but it is unbelievable that these ordinary fishermen from Cornwall could be able to make an Album and perform at a Gig as big as Glastonbury. Hats off to them, well done boys.
Oh, I love this group. I found them several years ago, then lost them. So glad I was directed here & can put them into my playlist. I don't want to lose them again! Thanks for posting, Moppet
it was great to hear this drifting up the valley on sunday.. people were coming out of their tents to listen. they may have had a small crowd on the field but there were another 30,000 listening from the hill

Real singing without bloody silly auto tune which REAL talent never needs or ever will.
Just watched the movie, Superb.
Seeing as this is a shanty, and 'technically' belonging to nobody, the lyrics are bound to vary. Get over it and just enjoy! :)
The real Britain!

😀 Some of them would join in the singing when I was with Trigg Morris in Cornwall, so I made a point of catching them at Glasto.
@9012221 I've heard it sung "traditionally" both ways.
Just watched the film at Keswick's Alhambra cinema. Great old cinema and good but slightly clichéd film
