I had a feeling that the player was the only person who knew that putting crying obsidian and glowstone on the way to create a respawn anchor means that he knows what the properties of each block are and how to use them in that way. It’s like the respawn anchor only exists to you for you.

I thought of something similar to that, because in legends the player is taken from a different dimension or timeline, so i think that perhaps the player is a fallen god or something, losing most of their power, yet retaining the power to craft, mine and respawn, they even obtain any recipes an item is in when they get it.

That's why I think the Nether Minecraft Dungeons DLC didn't have a shard of the orb: the piglins ALREADY failed it.
I also thought that the Heart of Ender was a manifestation of the Void Itself, since the void may be sentient (Minecraft Dungeons item lore proves this theory,) but quite possible the Heart become estranged from the other hosts and drew power FROM the void, giving it more powers. And why don't we see ENDERMEN in Legends? They seem to be warped by the void, and if the Orb is a servant of the void, or the void itself, that would explain why endearment don't show up.

I haven't watched your recent vids, so you may have covered this, but I'm VERY intrigued at the possibility of other "hearts". The Nameless One says while the Heart of Ender represents the End, the one on his own staff embodies the power of the creatures of the night (possibly linked to the powers of the moon as well?). This implies there could be more out there.

It wouldn’t be too outrageous to say that the fourth host was ender. In MCL, foresight literally spawns a new sun in, not to mention that they have the power to craft such golems. I honestly think that when they were shaping the overworld, there were four, but perhaps he was the one in charge of the natural process of decay or something. Perhaps he created the end and used it as his safe realm from his 3 other siblings.

  • @TheUltimateEnderling
    @TheUltimateEnderling Před 6 měsíci +7

I like to think that Respawn Anchors have an isolated pocket dimension. This pocket dimension acts as a sort of teleporter for the player's soul. Upon exiting this realm, the player's body is reconstructed through energy created through the combination of Crying Obsidian and Glowstone. The combined power of the EXP the player collected and the Glowstone powering the Respawn Anchor is used to instantly bind the player's soul to their new vessel. The Glowstone is drained from the Respawn Anchor in the process, hence its finite amount of uses before requiring more Glowstone. As for beds, the player's soul is bound to that spot in the Overworld, brought through the same aformentioned pocket dimension upon death. A similar physical reconstruction process occurs here, instead using most of the EXP that the player collected prior to falling. The explosions from using these in the wrong dimension are a result of the binding process being extremely unstable when attempting it in an incompatible dimension. Instead, the respawn block in question releases the stored residual energy from the player's previous respawns in a powerful explosion.

So if the Hosts aren’t gods, but “Ender” is, then what exactly makes an entity a “god” within the Minecraft universe? It’s possible that the Orb was cursed with a physical form by the Hosts, thus giving disadvantages and advantages. It could’ve experimented with void energy before being banished, which caused its power source to switch from the Well to the void and the End. Also, if “Ender” is a host, then the Vengeful Heart of Ender’s perfect form is likely not its original form, but rather using as much of the End’s power as possible and adding it to its body until it feels “perfect”. Also, at the beginning of the video, what did you mean about the Orb being a “victimized villain”?
Edit: Also, the Orb’s powers shown in Rise of the Arch-Illager could be due to it gaining energy while its spirit is attached to Archie.

I had a minor theory type thing, basically the voice you hear in mcd is another host, maybe ‘bravery’? It gives you information and helps you similar to how the 3 hosts help you throughout mcl
Maybe the 2 voices in the end poem can be hosts too, maybe a bit more laid back than the other hosts? But that’s a stretch since they seem a lot more knowledgeable than the other hosts. It would also allow a nice 3 host 2 hosts 1 host timeline. But then that would mean the hoe would be hidden in the base game of minecraft, we need more information. The ocean monument/well also seems to be growing using this timeline, the water level rising as well. Though I could be misinterpreting basic game design choices.

@@Shadykatus I’m very confused with a lot of what you’re saying, but it would be weird for a host to have an almost identical voice to another host (not saying that the narrator must be Foresight, just thought they would be more unique). Also, if you’re saying in the last bit that the ocean monument is the Well of Fate and/or they weren’t originally built underwater, then that is definitely not the case. Not only is there multiple ocean monuments, but in Minecraft Dungeons, there’s a giant ocean monument called the Abyssal Monument. In some areas, there are tube-like hallways with a shattered glass ceiling, which was seemingly meant to keep water out of the building.

I think Ender could be a Host, since they DO have simaller chararistics, the Hosts can change things in the fountain, but otherwise are very limited simmalarily, the heart of ender can only make stuff in the end. The hosts cant do much to the minecraft world, and have to find a hero to persuade to do stuff for them, Ender does this aswell. Ender is just more agressive, and forces people to do stuff for him instead of persuading them. Furthermore both Ender and the hosts can create golems and teach things how to create golems, such as the heart of ender showing anctient... (villagers? idk i forgot what it was lol) how to build squall golems, the arch illager to build redstone golems and the hosts teach the heros of minecraft legends how to build a ton of others. such as the plank golems, grindstone golems, etc etc.

    1. We can see at the end that the villagers and the new illagers, the illagers were angry the villagers didn't help and so now in normal Minecraft and in dungeons we can see them trying to get stronger in case of a another attack and also having some hatred towards villagers and find them weak.
    2. In the new 1.20 Minecraft disc we can here some of the Minecraft legends music hinting that the ruins used to be buildings back in Minecraft legends.
    3. In one Minecraft legends book, Return of the Piglins and we can see how they can enter through without getting turned into zombies plus in the story there were paintings on the wall telling that Piglins have invaded before!
    4. lastly now we can see that the ruined nether portals are from Minecraft legends because we destroyed them all and there was only the ruins left.

The fact that there’s a beacon in Minecraft legends implies that the Piglins eventually overthrew the Wither Boss, who was the ruler of the Nether a long time ago and they destroyed his physical form and now he is merely a demon telling his followers-the undead (mainly wither skeletons) to find a way to respawn him. Steve/Alex were trying to resurrect their dead ancestors only to find out that the wither boss tricked them into summoning him and he sucks the souls out of living beings by killing them with wither skulls.

I think the Hosts in Legends are likely one of the parts of the game that aren't actually canon to the Minecraft universe, but are just put there as personifications of different story elements to be able to coherently explain what's happening in the game. The starry translucent form they take on when they enter the Overworld could be to indicate that they aren't entirely there, or that they aren't entirely real. At least, not in the same sense that the player character and the mobs are. True, they were able to assist the Firsts with creating these different machines, but it could just be in the same way that someone could use their own foresight, knowledge, or action to create things. I also doubt the Hosts were actually able to transport players back in time, partially because it doesn't support my theory, but also because the player character options in the game each have styles and names of their own, independent of the player.
There's still a lot of fascinating evidence I've never noticed here regarding the Heart of Ender and the players' apparent abilities to respawn. I completely agree that, in short, respawning probably isn't meant to be a canon ability for players. There are still certain ways that it's possible, though, like with a Totem of Undying. Maybe in the future the Respawn Anchor will be expanded on more and we'll know what's on the other side of that small portal.

I don't know if my comment will be seen much on this video, but respawning is _absolutely_ canon to minecraft, not just as a game mechanic external to the world. The respawn anchor is just one example of this, but the other is more overt: echo shards and recovery compasses. These items explicitly interact with the player's death. And as in-game items hidden away in the ancient cities, the implication is that the inhabitants of the cities were aware of that mechanic.
However, I think it was a rather rare ability, so its not possible for literally _everyone_ to live forever thanks to respawning.

My theory is that the orb came from a pocket dimension. If you didn’t know, in an original interview that has now been considered non- canon, a developer was talking about how when endermen teleport, they enter a pocket dimension and reappear in the overworld, the same way if you move one block in the nether, it’s 8 in the overworld. The dev said that the endermites would latch onto the endermen passing through the pocket dimension and travel with them to the overworld. What this proves is things can be trancefered through pocket dimensions allowing for things such as the zombie plague to spread or even the skulk. This brings me to the conclusion that the orb magic or specifically enchantment magic came from a pocket dimension which later transformed the end.

I also originally believed this since in the Vengeful Heart of Ender’s boss fight, the only mobs it spawns are endermites. But it doesn’t really seem to explain the seemingly religious themes. Obsidian Can't naturally form in the Nether, as such, the piglins couldn't have know about the portals, and as such, would not be able to make them. The Seer had the orb of dominance, as shown in this video, So I think the Great Hog somehow got access to The Orb who told the Great Hog about the Overworld and Nether Portals. The Great Hog, being the leader of the piglins, would try to conquer the Overworld. The Orb would then use it's powers to spawn in obsidian so the piglins can make the portals, as for how to orb even got to the Nether, It's from the End, and many things from the End can teleport to different dimensions.

I find it a little odd that nobody has brought up the fact that the Great Hog seems to be heavily imbued with End-based magic. This magic has seemingly made him a practical demigod among pigs, with his unnatural size, physical strength, as well as his agility being far beyond most other Piglins.
My theory on how the Great Hog rose to power is that he was once, many years ago, a mighty piglin. Strong, but nothing beyond the norm. One day, he encounters the Seer, somebody who promises greater strength or something amongst those lines. The Great Hog accepts this offer, and is imbued with the magic of the End, allowing him to become the mightiest piglin the Nether had ever witnessed.
As the Great Hog rises, so does the Seer. The reasons as to why the Seer helped the Great Hog could be many, but I’m thinking that it’s amongst the lines that she lacked the physical size, ferocity, and presence that the Great Hog possessed. She couldn’t unite the Nether, but the Great Hog could.
This also leads into why these two possess mutual respect for one another. The Seer assisted the Great Hog’s rise to power, and she is extremely wise, as well as competent, which only lends to the feeling of respect the Great Hog has for the Seer. On the other hand, the Seer respects the Great Hog as an equal because he has _proven_ himself an equal. He was skilled and mighty enough to unite the Nether under his rule, and that probably takes a lot more than just brute strength. By doing this, the Great Hog has exceeded the expectations the Seer had for him, which has led to the Seer seeing (lmao) him as an equal.
The Great Hog is the ferocity, strength, and presence to the Seer’s subtlety, sorcery, and cunning.

About that theory about Ender being the "third" host, I would like to counter your counterargument on the "true" heart of Ender's appearance going against the theory of them being the "third" host. You forgot to acknowledge that the form it takes there is the BROKEN Heart of Ender, meaning not only is it incredibly unstable, but it is damaged, which the model clearly depicts with the various lesions and unstable fragmented/segmented body. Meaning the form you call "perfect" is anything but. We have yet to ever see the Heart of Ender's true form, as they were never able to show it during Dungeons, so we can only speculate.

Here is my theory on where the dimensions are. So they aren't actually dimensions. There are just levels in one universe. The nether is one of them, being under the overworld in the lowest levels of the world's crust only possessing foliage from the past with the crimson and warped tress being probably decended from ancient prototaxities (a type of giant fungus) whos spores penetrated the earths crust throgh cave systems. The piglins are the last naturally occurring life here, probably decended from extinct pigs that used caves to get to the nether.
The end is a nebula, possibly light years away, said distant nebula, which has a large asteroid field or planetary debris scattered across (the end islands). This place harbours a kind of strange matter likely formed by the supernova that took place here long ago (void matter). Strange inhabitants live here either biproducts of the nebulas proseses or decended from aliens, beings called endersents and endermites live here useing the void matter to corupt other organic lifeforms. The foliage of the islands were likely modified plants form the overworld that were modified by the endersents. The portals used in the game, specifically the end portal, utilise some kind of energy inside them to harness the power of lightspeed and send things to the distant nebula, the nether portal probably uses the same thing just on a much, much lower calibre. There we go, that's my theory.

I had a thought within the timeline. Foursight takes a player from the base game of Minecraft, known as the end of the timeline. With legends being the beginning. And dungeons being the middle ground. With structures appearing in dungeons (in peak shape) but being destroyed in the base game. In dungeons and normal Minecraft you see forms of the nether deteriorating over time. Obviously due to Steve's interruptions to the population. Which also makes sense since there aren't player sized piglins in legends.
To shorten it, you can see things how they were in legends, see things deteriorating in the nether but thriving through the overworld In. Dungeons. And even more so in normal minecraft. And eventually back to legends once foursight takes Steve to the past
Edit: also, I've noticed that foursight sounds simaler to the narrator. But disappears any later
