We gave 12points to them and i will explain you why: not only the song was brilliant, the stage performance was stunning, but also the folk sound and the tradition in the song is SOOO recalling and similar to southern italian's old ballad, like Pizzica and Tarantella. No one of my friends (or me) understands Ukraine or Russian, but we ALL understood immediately the song was about some traditional theme like seasons or else. Still listening to it, love ukraine
@@irynayarova8343 It was kinda cringe though, because all the Ukraine, Russian or other slavic people that speak italian are AWESOME. Only Argentinian people have better italian pronunciation than you guys, but Damiano was not that good in Ukrainian LoL, still lovely ahahah
@@BarahirFurioso maybe that's because of our Cyrillic script? I mean, you can't read the original words, only transliterated into Latin alphabet, but the thing is that Latin letters can't represent the original sounds of our language and it looks messy and impossible to read even for me as a native Ukrainian speaker. And repeating words after a native speaker without being able to read them from a paper is extremely hard

Wedrowny GrajeK With the juries it’s definitely about hating the uk, everyone knows they’re all about politics even if they deny it. Even with the public, they may not hate the uk but they are definitely more likely to vote for neighbouring countries. The uk typically gets pretty low scores in recent years no matter what the song is like.

I used to speak Italian fluently, but have zero problem understanbding it...LOL Also Ive enjoyed watching it in the past on SVT from Sweden. That's where I watch Melfest every year. Getting a bit of a handle on the language by now. My greatgrandmother would be so proud of me (she was from Linkoping)

This small piece was better than all the things she did on stage, but still... The fact that a podium can break your abilities is sad for every performer and I did wish for her to be stronger during the semi final
