    Great idea! Right now I have my earrings on mesh dress stand from TJMaxx, but I will keep this in mind if I want a change. I love stud/button earrings so much. I can't go to a craft fair without coming home with some little flower earrings or earrings that look like food. Your donut earring tutorial is great, too, by the way!

    I think a t shirt would totally work. Just make sure and roll the fabric super tight and use hot glue to keep it tight. Or if you still plan on covering it, you could use rubber bands to keep it super tight.

    Girl, you're crazy but I love it, whose faces at the beginning had me rolling. This was also a great idea

    you can make it even nicer if you buy a length of decorative wood/mdf trim like 1/4 circle or "wavy" and put a square of that along the inside of the box (like an inverse picture frame) it will cover the edges of the fabric , help a bit keeping the rollers in place and look awesome especially if you spray it gold or some other nice color.

    You have such a pretty collection of studs! Those are my favorite! I'm currently looking for super inexpensive, flat, round or square, plain studs that are small. And those that are a flat "bar", too! They look so nice! ♥

    Great idea. I've made these before but instead of foam rollers I used felt rolled up which eliminated the step of covering the rows with fabric. You just might be more limited in colors choices.

    Do you think using a picture frame would work? I was thinking if I cut the rollers in half and hot glue the rows on to the back of the stand maybe?

    • @bonitajuanita
      @bonitajuanita  Před 8 lety +1

      I think it might if is thick frame. But really so long as the rollers don't move (they are glued in real good) it should be ok.

  • @KMar-uj6pf
    @KMar-uj6pf Před 6 lety +1

    I really like the idea. But honestly the fabric chosen was the worst. Looks as organza or tafeta, and wasnt even iron. Got a lot wrinkles, specially on the corners, thats will be easily to lose shape and the corners lose threads. The best fabric is cotton, because after iron, you can hidden the corners to inside perfectly. (the quilting´s fabric is perfect, nice colors and patrons). Velvet is usually the one for jewlery box, or even buy "velvet paper" for that. I am a perfectionist person (yes, with TOC too), and I notice all that issues which bother me a lot. But of course is not my intention be rude. As you, I got many jewlery boxes, but arent good for my stuffs. So, I am preparing my "personal jewlery box" based on the items I have. And Im taken ideas from many channels to made my own style based on my needs. This will be great for the smaller earrings, wich always I lost one in third dimension...

    Even though this is a great idea I bet all the materials and time spent on creating this was more then just buying one of these already made, tarnish resistant once from like a shopping network like hsn.com or even stores like Ross and tjmax has these for as little as $6.99-$19.99 depending on size. Tfs

    • @bonitajuanita
      @bonitajuanita  Před 9 lety +2

      phenriquez80 its very true. But given the size that I needed and the fact that all I had to buy was the foam rollers ($5 total) it was defiantly cheaper to me make. But if you needed to buy all the materials then it would for sure be cheaper to buy it already made. Thanks for watching!

    • @phenriquez80
      @phenriquez80 Před 9 lety

      That's true too, cool.
