Kitchen pantry organizing ideas.
We all have that bottom kitchen corner cabinet
(Blind kitchen corner cabinet) that it’s almost impossible
To store anything!
The most common type corner cabinet (Blind corner cabinet) is the One, which has one small door That the opening is very small; and On the inside, it’s long and narrow.
These kinds of kitchen cabinets are so hard to keep organized, Because we Practically have to take everything out of the front of the Door, just to reach the back.
Making this blind kitchen corner cabinet a storage nightmare!!
The good thing is… That this cabinet is a cool and dark space; Making it ideal to store pantry food items.
But there is one solution to this problem.
If you can have kitchen drawers to pull in and out of this Blind corner kitchen cabinet, then there would be no problem at all.
All you would have to do is to pull the kitchen drawer that is in front Of the blind kitchen corner cabinet out.
This will give you instant access to the back of the blind kitchen corner cabinet… A brilliant solution!!
Fast and easy access to all of your food items!!
The only bad thing is… Buying these kitchen drawer systems for This Corner kitchen cabinets is extremely expensive.
But there is a very cheap and creative solution to this problem.
You can use plastic bins that have handles or if they don't have
The handles, then you can buy a very inexpensive one, and Attached to the bin.
By doing so, you have instantly created a DIY kitchen drawer, that
Costed you very little money!!
To make the plastic bin, slide in and out of the blind kitchen corner Cabinet, all you have to do is......Attach round felt pads to the Bottom of the plastic bins, just like I have done in this video.
What the round felt stickers do is....... It acts as if the plastic bin Had wheels on the bottom, making it super easy to use as a
kitchen drawer, sliding in and out of the kitchen cabinet.
This also makes the plastic bin (Your new DIY kitchen drawers) super light and not heavy at all.
No matter though many heavy pantry items you have inside of each Bin (DIY kitchen drawers) they will slide in and out as a feather!!

My new cabinets are coming in 2 days, and 2 are blind corners. Have been looking for DIY ideas for them, and yours is the simplest and most creative I have seen. Love that the drawers are not attached, so they can be removed for cleaning or transporting all items in them to where ever needed. Thank you for posting.

Yes it’s an easy solution for those type of Cabinets and also it’s renter friendly.
So if anyone is renting, you can solve the problem with out any alteration to the Cabinet itself.

Excellent tutorial! I don't have a blind corner in my kitchen but I do the same on my "kitchen shelves" in the basement so I can grab and go when needed.

Thank you, I put the felt pads under those plastic bins, because it makes it super easy for them to slide in and out; and this are bins that I already had, so why go out and spend more money buying bins with wheels when I can attach the felt pads and it would be as if it had wheels

Excellent. I think many people spend a lot of money on fancy racks when there is a better and cheaper solution. I did just that - I bought a tall slide-out metal unit for a larder cupboard, it was £350. It is actually quite difficult to access things seeing as the whole unit slides out together. Plastic boxes on individual shelves would have been a much better way of storing tins and packets and much easier to keep clean too.
Yes indeed using plastic boxes or baskets as drawers is always a much cheeper solution, than spending so much money.

I need to do this. But how did you install the shelf? This would definitely save me a lot of money and make my husband very happy
Hello Marielle,
We had our kitchen cabinets custom made for us when we built the house and we asked for a shelf in this
Corner cabinet. But your husband can measure the with of the cabinet, and go to your local hardware store
And he can purchase a white shelf and install it inside of the cabinet.
All he has to do is drill the 4 little holes on the sides so the small metal pegs could hold the shelf in place.
This is exactly how my shelf is supported.

The store is Kick and its located in Slovenia.
It's the equivalent to the dollar store in the USA

Where did you get that plastic bin?
At my local supermarket.
You can use any plastic bin that would fit your kitchen cabinet, all you have to do is add a handle as I did in the video and add stick on sliders on the bottom of the bin. If your bin does not come with it.
You can buy the sliders that they use for the chairs.
