what makes it scary, is the fact that it's something meant to look good, wholesome, normal, but it doesn't look this way, unlike the nightmare animatronics, which were created to scare. It just gives it a very unsettling feeling.
Yea basically that, that’s the reason why fnaf 1 is scary because a normal animatronic is very unsettling and creepy. That’s the only reason why fnaf vhs tapes and even fnaf+ is scary, it’s cause it’s supposed to be normal but it actually is twisted and dark.

The thumbnail is easily one of the scariest fredbear designs I think I've ever seen. Not just because it's spooky looking but you can see how MASSIVE Fredbear is more easily with this more cohesive model. The fact that he sprints around the house only adds to it. It's like going toe-to-toe with a freight train

Dude imagine how affective this would be. The whole game the normal nightmares appear and after the bite it switches to a normal bloody mouthed fredbear. Like, the first nightmares were just the fantasies of a little kid, but this? The kid had something to truly fear, his killer came back to finish the job.

Imagine if this were an actual night of FNAF 4, where there’s no other animatronic but Fredbear. Not only that, but Fredbear only gets closer and closer with each passing hour, with no way to shoo him away. It’d be a basic miracle to beat the night.

I think what makes this alot scarier than the nightmare models is because in this game, you expect to see nightmarishl designed animatronics, which would fit the setting. This mod however shows the somewhat "normal" design, which would stand out in this certain setting. He doesn't fit in, which makes it all the more scarier.
Like how would you feel if you saw a normal looking animatronic with blood stains on his mouth?

The reason it’s creepier is because the eyes do
Not move and they look human like, however the “Nightmares” have eyes more like an aggressive animal. Not only that the teeth on the “Nightmares” indicate that they are a predator. Fredbears frozen look hide what it’s intentions are, unlike the “Nightmares” which are to eat you. The blood tops it off because it doesn’t seem right for something that’s supposed to be friendly. Basically we associate the “Nightmares” as a natural predator and Fredbear as something unnatural and uncanny.

I get intimidated by both, moreso by this one for sure, but the nightmare ones from the perspective of a child feel like some fever dream interpretation of something you're scared of, twisted to make it even worse.

This might be a simple design, but it's actually scarier than the nightmare animatronics, he looks so... Uncanny. He looks like a dead inanimate object, but alive at the same time. The nightmare designs are overkill, they just look goofy.

No quiero menospreciar el trabajo de Scott, pero esto da muchisimo mas miedo que la versión original. El hecho de que este reparado pero que sus ojos siempre esten mirandote fijamente le da un toque mas de terror. Juro que si este hubiera sido el original si hubiera tenido un miedo terrible de niño. Por que si, Nightmare Fredbear original puede dar miedo pero no tanto como este. Este te causa incomodidad, a un punto en el que no quieres que te de un jumpscare y sin la necesidad de tener un millom de dientes para tener un diseño aterrador

i think part of the reason this is scary is that it dips back into the original uncanny feeling of fnaf1, combined with the defenseless feel of fnaf 4

I think the scariest part about this animatronic is the fact that it is the fredbear who bit the crying child, any other animatronic you know it is not real, but this animatronic is. I wish this could have been a feature.

Someone did it, but that theory died and there's no canon conclussion of who did the bite of 87
the bite of 87 happened in fnaf 2’s location because it’s the prequel. You notice how phone guy doesn’t talk about any bite in fnaf 2, but in fnaf 1 he does? plus in fnaf 1 he said “they used to let them walk around during the day but then there was the bite of 87” yet in fnaf 2 he says “they even let them walk around during the day? Isn’t that neat.” The question is who in fnaf 2 did it? It couldn’t have been the withered ones they were stuck in the back.
