To summarize this is quite often how I begin my pray .. Our Father in heaven I come to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I invite the Holy Spirit to lead and guide my prayer.
Me too! This is how my grandparent’s always prayed and I’m so grateful they led by example and taught us children at a young age.. granted I I took the wrong path for several years but I knew where to come when the world has its way with me!
Scripture also gives us a few reasons why our prayers may be hindered. One of the biggest ones, is unforgiveness. Brothers and sisters, make sure to forgive those who hurt you and to not hold grudges against one another so that your prayers will not be hindered.
Yeah this kinda get to, I was praying and talk to God alittle while ago , About this same thing and yelled out saying but I'm human not a God so a person can say they forgive a person til the day they die that will not make whatever pain they caused go away . And when a person says they forgive someone, There not letting the person be in any part of there life ,so that says the words came out but the action shows differently .
But especially men s prayers are not heard if they mistreat their wives bz He doesn't mistreat us so we have no room to not show the same mercy. 1 John 1:9
I absolutely agree with this! If we don’t forgive, that hinders our spirit because we are content to drag those unforgiving sins along with us and really not allowing God to free us from this ungodly burden. When I forgive, I am released from a burden which was never supposed to be mine because Jesus saves us from whatever it is that keeps us stuck. Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice! See this is what confuses me isn't thanking a form of conversational prayer....are we supposed to address the Holy Spirit or God (Father) for sending His Holy Spirit to lead us here? I mean it wasn't bothering me until it started bothering me lol in other words, It was like I got convicted and ever since.... Like I believe what Vlad said here according to the Word and then there's many times where I've caught him saying, "Jesus" or "Holy Spirit" in the prayer as in praying/speaking to them as you would continue to address whomever you started talking to first but i believe the prayers may always strt off addressing God the Father....why the confusion?? Is it really just me?? I know our leaders know what they're doing but hey, they are human, too. God bless you in Jesus name!

I was repeating the same words daily, making sure I don't leave out anything. Lord God pls remove OCD tendencies from my prayer life, and from now on help me to allow the Holy Spirit to lead my prayers every time.🙏🙏🙏
I was doing this for such a lot time until God showed me that he loves us so so so much more than we expect and I often prayed in fear because of repeating myself so much and only went into prayer as a routine to be very truthful but God showed me how his grace works and I started loving him so much and knowing he is always looking out for me no matter if I mess up he is always there!!! Ask God to reveal any sins in ur life because this is 100% allowing the enemy to attack you in prayer (sin = death) ask God to guide you and he is faithful♥️♥️God bless you x

I was literally thinking of this right now. That I shouldn’t rush to say what I’m my mind… even if I think I’m saying the right thing. I tend to want to be quick with my words coz I see that that’s what other people do. That my words should come out powerful and strong. Often times when I do that I miss the point. I say things I don’t mean and also silly things that make me think, “What??” Although I’d tell myself that prayer is a conversation with God, I just realised now that who rushed through a conversation? I realised that, yes, I should start the convo… but how else will the Holy Spirit lead me if I don’t give Him time to LEAD ME! That I should take my time… even if there are silent moments, it’s still ok. As long as your talking to Hod is all that matters. No need for fancy dialect, lol. I hope my prayer time today (and forever) may be this way. To pray sincerely rather than rushing through and using words I don’t even understand all because I see everyone else doing it. It’s all about Gods Will for your life. God will hear you, no matter what… that doesn’t mean your prayers aren’t getting answered because of the “way you pray?” The reason your prayer isn’t being answered (it’s covered in scripture,) the Lord says to have patience( it’s all in Gods timing,) or The Lord is saying no( for whatever reason, since God knows what’s best for your life.) it’s all about Gods Will for your life; He knows what’s best. Jesus answered my prayer needing him just the other day. I was emotionally defeated and all I could sincerely mutter was, “Jesus, I need you.” I didn’t approach Him with a formal introduction, but He knew my heart and what I needed to be free from emotional bondage. Thank you Jesus for hearing and helping me.
You think God gonna ignore us if we put our love, our hearts, our thoughts, our emotions into our prayers? God is omniscient, he hears you and reads your heart and mind. I understand what you are saying, but Jesus did line out for us how we should pray. I think there are many ways to pray correctly, but why wouldn't we pray to the Father if Jesus told us to call Him Father? Jesus literally shows us how to pray to our Father, the HONOR of calling our Creator 'Father' is beyond amazing and beautiful. I guess I don't understand what you are objecting to. Actually, He was teaching the disciples an example or format of prayer. They were in between the Old Testament dispensation and the new one. He then commands us as believers to pray to God the Father, in His Name. Apostle Paul then teaches us a new level which is speaking in tongues once baptized in the Holy Spirit

It’s a conversation that goes back and forth between God. Our conversation isn’t a formula but a genuine time with the all knowing one who loves us. We have many different cares in our hearts, and our prayers should seek Him above all things. To know Him more, to praise Him, to have a relationship with Him just like asking Him because we need Him. Try reading Psalm 139.
It is an example Jesus gave us in the way we ought to pray. The Lord's prayer it is not a sort of talisman prayer you say repeatedly, every single day...like the Catholics do. Paul the apostol gave us more examples of prayer, so Peter too...but they are examples. I never before heard of “through the Holy Spirit”, but that makes sense to me. God has answered my prayers, but probably because I was like a toddler just learning. One example was asking God to help make a sabbath day of rest each week, if He wanted me to rest. I’m a 24/7/365 caregiver, so rest hasn’t been on the schedule… Recently, I decided to make the day more intentional. I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn more about what pleases God!

Someone else that thinks this too.. at first I thought I couldn’t understand because it was demonic but as hard as I’ve tried to relate to praying to three separate sets of ears, I just could not.. I just feel like God IS JESUS and Operates through His Holy (Resurrected) Spirit - but i just cant picture that in my head that there are two bodies in Heaven (a Father and a Son).. i think Jesus Has Always been and revealed his Name and Divinity by giving us an actual Person (Jesus) and this God incarnate person sacrificed His LIFE to demonstrate HOW MUCH HE LOVES US.

I think there are many ways to pray correctly, but why wouldn't we pray to the Father if Jesus told us to call Him Father? It’s a conversation that goes back and forth between God. Our conversation isn’t a formula but a genuine time with the all knowing one who loves us. We have many different cares in our hearts, and our prayers should seek Him above all things. To know Him more, to praise Him, to have a relationship with Him just like asking Him because we need Him. Try reading Psalm 139.
I always pray the Lord's Prayer before I sleep at night. Seems like a good way to end the day and to start it for that matter.

I never before heard of “through the Holy Spirit”, but that makes sense to me.
God has answered my prayers, but probably because I was like a toddler just learning.
One example was asking God to help make a sabbath day of rest each week, if He wanted me to rest.
I’m a 24/7/365 caregiver, so rest hasn’t been on the schedule…
Recently, I decided to make the day more intentional.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn more about what pleases God!

There are no rules for praying to the Lord. He hears our hearts.
There's, imagine trying to meet the president or the queen you must follow some protocol. What about the creator, of all. Imagine you're a royalty your king also happens to be your father.
You can enter his throne with confidence because his your father but you still got to give him the respect for his great authority. You don't deserve all this it's made possible by Jesus Christ so we use his name.
You must use the name of Jesus as protocol as well.
You must start enter his gates with thanks giving as well before you ask are you grateful of the things he has provided you without your knowledge.

Someone else that thinks this too.. at first I thought I couldn’t understand because it was demonic but as hard as I’ve tried to relate to praying to three separate sets of ears, I just could not.. I just feel like God IS JESUS and Operates through His Holy (Resurrected) Spirit - but i just cant picture that in my head that there are two bodies in Heaven (a Father and a Son).. i think Jesus Has Always been and revealed his Name and Divinity by giving us an actual Person (Jesus) and this God incarnate person sacrificed His LIFE to demonstrate HOW MUCH HE LOVES US.
I wonder if this Trinity concept came about to potentially confuse the people that are to “believe” the anti-christ is Jesus. Because this allows for that mental image of two separate bodies..know what i mean? Im just not sure.. Jesus is referring to the concept that he is equal to the Father. He is not the Father, and the Father is not the Son and the Holy Spirit is neither of them
" I and the Father are One", again Jesus is expressing Unity and not " Modulism".
Modulism is a concept of forms of activity.
For example, a man can be a husband, Father and a son all in the same person.
The Trinity is not Modulism.
Of course Jesus didn't use the nomenclature of the " Trinity" but he preached the concept throughout the Gospels.
When Jesus was praying to his Heavenly Father, who was he praying to?
