Composed, and Produced by a then 19-year-old El Debarge. he wrote it for Marvin Gaye. the Executives at Motown lied to El. they told him Marvin didn't like the song...when Marvin was killed in 1984. Marvin's ex-wife told El, Marvin LOVED the song. wished he would have recorded it, and would listen to it day, and night. this is a true R&B, Pop Classic. that has stood the test of time 40 years since El recorded it. Released by Motown as a Single in early 83.
I've looked at the comments with regard to your remix of my song (All this love) Mr GrooveFunkel I did not have the time to review them all for they were many however I pressed like on all of them that I had a chance to look at and they spoke the sentiments of my heart I too really really enjoyed it very much and that is to say the least. I commend you and I thank you for being obedient to the voice of God sir you are truly a gift from above!

At the 25th Motown, this presentation rocked my senses. Everything was good -- accompaniment and orchestration, the beat, basslines, and the choreo so enthralling. Damn that was a long time ago and i still am spellbound when i review the live show.

Hi Ben! The original recording session often has unused or extended recorded tracks. In the case of this song/session, there are 48 tracks of recorded material (drums, vocals, keyboards, bass, strings etc...). Often, there are unused/alternate vocals, instrumentation etc. I mix the raw tracks (to sound good), then mix the session arrangement to my liking. Hopefully this answers your question!
