Amy is literally my favorite character.... for too many reasons for me to even type in. I don’t care how many haters are out there, she is just the best canon Sonic character and Sonic character in general.... AND I usually don’t have a favorite for ANYTHING.

I think Amy is super under appreciated for sure. Sure she’s had some bad moments (like the planet of misfortune episode of sonic x she went too far) but she’s had a lot of redeeming moments as well and having flaws is part of what makes her an interesting character. I think her good qualities are too often overlooked and plus you can blame sega for constantly pushing her to the background and excluding her. She’s a sweet, optimistic, and compassionate girl with a lot of love to give and she’s also strong, and determined. She doesn’t give up and she’s a great leader as well. I think she was totally misunderstood in sonic heroes. She was trying to help cream and big find chocola and Froggy and she thought sonic had them because of an image of what looked like him nabbing them in the newspaper. Yeah she had a cringe line about making him marry her but I think it was intended as a joke as she wanted sonic to see how strong she had gotten at that point. She’s really a strong and determined girl and a great friend to cream. Also I’m into sonamy as I think their dynamic is really cute. One thing I like about Amy is she is super loyal and she doesn’t want sonic to change. In the IDW comics where she has grown some she tells him this. She knows sonic is a free spirit and she still chooses to follow after him which I think sonic secretly admires her determination. Plus she’s Segas girl and I think she was meant for sonic.
