- Other than one mistake on Blake Lizotte's goal, Joey D'Accord was perfect between the pipes, stopping a ridiculous 43 shots to carry the Seattle Kraken to a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings. Brandon Tanev and Jordan Eberle scored for Seattle.

Below .500 at home... again. Something has to change for LA, because this was another pathetic performance in their own barn. Outside of Daccord, this Kraken team wasn't really playing amazing hockey, but LA just played much, much worse. 0/4 on their power play, and not a whole lot of decent looks among those 44 shots either. Compare tonight to the game the other night in Seattle, and you can see the clear differences in LA's game.
There's no good excuse for losing this game. Yeah, they were on the second half of a back-to-back, and their schedule has been abysmal to say the least, but great teams overcome that. It's easy to chalk this up as a bad game, but if they lose their next one, then what? They've already lost 9 of their 14 home games, and that's the reason they don't have the best record in the league.
I feel bad for the fans who spend their hard earned money to attend a Kings game. Almost always ends in disappointment. Just painful to watch.
Agreed. A lot of fluff in those shots, for both teams. The Kraken had much better chances, and I'd argue that Talbot actually had a better game considering what he had to face. Just have to move on, and hope they don't disappoint again against Calgary.

kraken just didnt play flashy at all. they waited for their chances and struck at the right time. i wouldnt say they played bad outside of daccord. clearly the kraken are better than their record suggests considering in their last five games theyve been playing tough teams and playing very well against them too.
@@ryan_emerson Very true. They didn't have much sustained zone time. Lots of stretch passes and odd man breaks which LA usually doesn't allow much of. Didn't say that had a bad game, but it definitely wasn't amazing or anything. Better than the Kings though, evident by the end result.

@@TheGreyCrayon yeah for sure. games between kraken and kings seem to always be close at least the ones ive watched since getting into hockey like the 9 rounder last weekend and the 9-8 game in LA last year. pacific div is so fun

Joey Daccord was nearly perfect tonight alongside those Brandon Tanev and Jordan Eberle goals. Justin Schultz had a very unlucky bounce that lead to the SHG.

44 SOG and that's the outcome. I wouldn't even count the goal we got, it was a fluke, and nothing borne out of a Kings play. Something's offensively have got to change.

After the first period Kings simply were outplayed outhustled with a nonexistent power play and our top D pairing was at fault for the second Goal and yes PLD is still MIA with a nickname Houdini!!!

Is it me or does Talbot look smaller than he did in Edmonton? I know black makes a person look thinner, but he seems spry in net for the Kings.
Man that goalie for the Crackens is unbelievable 23 shots on him in the first period stopping everything "Decored" I think his name is they said here.
