At least, she spent time flying with a boy, and she was happy and laughing after a long time. Even if it was a short moment. It was worth it. If she didn't meet him, I would be crying more.
I do understand now. Kaguya is a strange being to Earth and shouldn't stay there anyways. To human and nature. Even though it was a mistake to "pray for the moon's call" by her, she left a great message for the people. The ending is still sad though. Shows how something "Heavenly" can be inhumane. However this is HUMAN interpretation of heavenly, not "Heavenly Entities", after all.
@@Nguyenlisa(ik this is a old comment but ima reply anyways 😭✋) Im pretty sure they are talking about the movie which is in japanese, even if the story itself comes from china
I don’t want to sound like a religious fool but when you think about this story… kinda goes about like the coming and going of Jesus… (sorry I just came back from church) They be on the planet for such a short time… just to make a difference in some peoples lives…
It seems like a pretty common theme in stories where we're given something 'pure' but then can't help but bury or burden it in a bunch of human nonsense. Dostoyevsky's The Idiot has a similar thing going on and come to think of it that was meant as a parallel to the Christ narrative, too.

the ending to the movie was so poetic, it really showed what life is like, sometimes there is no happily ever after.
