    A tiny tip regarding the cuticle treatment/oils: put them on the skin under your nail as well, the skin there tends to be dry as well and using oil will make your nails even stronger!

    After u squish out the air bubbles put in the light for 10 seconds, take out and get a brush, turn hand over and brush out the excess gel down the length of the tip underneath. The upfront cost was more than going to a salon, but by the 4th time I use my supplies, I will have broken even and I definitely plan on doing them myself from now on! And it was nice to put whatever design I wanted on my nails without having to worry about any added charges. That will save me so much money going forward.

    Also when you soak these ones off you don’t have to remove the gel entirely if you’re going to put a new set on because gel sticks to gel! 😊

    The stickiness is from the oils/grease/residue
    You can wipe it off with a rubbing alcohol or a Nail Prep & Polish wipe solution (I use Mylee)

    I currently do hard gel over my natural nail to reinforce them and grow them long but I'm thinking of cutting them all off and switching to this method, which I've tried on a nail here and there before. sculpting a perfect shape with gel is too hard and by the time I'm done, I'm too annoyed to do nail art 😭 with the apres method it'd just be a perfect surface straight away. I'm worried about how hard it would be to remove the soft gel extensions tho. I know there's the peel off base coats but then im worried theyd pop off too easily with the peel off.
    Please updateeee

    • @TeeHeeImNiNi
      @TeeHeeImNiNi Před 2 lety

      The best way to remove apres and other gel extensions is to file them super thin and then soak them off. The soak off process can take forever! All the gel x "influencers" claim they can remove them in 15 mins but i personally take longer, probably because im not a professional. I still endure the process because i prefer it so much more than acrylic.

      I just pop them off while soaking them in warm water and if you don’t want them to stay on very long don’t do any prep to your nails and they will only last like a week or so before they really start to lift and then you can just pop them right off And if you are really worried just use a bunch of moisture on your hands leading up to the days you want to remove them because too much moisture will cause them to lift

  • @nyasiagill5293
    @nyasiagill5293 Před 2 lety

    im a gel x enthusiast & im here to give a tip! you shouldn’t put get polish on top of a smooth, shiny tip. the polish is super prone to peeling off because smooth (polish) doesn’t have anything to adhere to. so what you can do is use your dehydrator & scrub it into the surface of the nail to create a tacky layer. this helps for gel polish adherence. acetone does the same thing as well. i always buff the shine & then scrub dehydrator into the surface, but if for whatever reason someone doesn’t have a buffer, scrubbing the dehydrator or rubbing acetone into the nail surface will do you justice. loved the video & the nails are super cute!
