Things do get better, just try find and focus on the positives of all situations, no matter how small they are, they add up. Even in the worst of situations, it is possible to find a small positive if you look hard enough. Doing this simple act over a period of time, you stop focussing on the negatives, and only search out the positive, it actually changes the hard wiring of your brain…
I know because I did it myself. Sending love from the U.K.

I can only imagine the muzzle creates a human overreaction. Which is ironic, isn’t the muzzle meant to create a sense of safety in people? You have an amazing dog, you should be proud of what you have achieved with him. ❤️ What a shame he must go through that when he is in public, Frankensteins Monster. Bless him 😢

Distress, hunger, thirst, abuse. I despair at some humans. 😞

The 3 months my GSD was forced to wear a muzzle because of an allegation of aggressivity made by a neighbor to the state.
I can tell what you're living through. People actyally were more scared than when her mouth was open and showing teeth.
Would have to tell people "What else can I do to help your insecurities" ?
She got to the point where she doesnt even greet other dogs anymore, unless they choose come to her.
I do get a kick out if seeing people leash up their dog to the sight of mine, for her to walk past without so much as a look.
Sometimes when someone ties their small dog, I tell the owner "Thank you, she scared of aggressive dogs" just to see yhe perplexity in their eyes, not sure what had just happened.

One guy I see often jumps in to a garden with his scottie. It's annoying and discriminatory towards the breed.
I the 4 years I have her I only seen her defend her purity when an over amorous potty tried his luck and that was just enough to put him straight.

Unban the bullies!!! Just have background check on all owners of EVERY DOG breed.. maybe make them go to training 1-3 times a week if they believe the dog breed needs more training. 🖕🏼to all the Karen’s who moan and talk bad about certain breeds because they don’t know how to handle a big dog breed or there just scared.. what has the world come too😢

Yet grandma's jack Russell will chew your ankles off if you walk by too close.
Can we stop buying into the bullshit that dogs are dangerous.
The owners are dangerous and the dog only knows learned behaviour.

Dude as someone who actually owns a dog that has reactivity issues that we are working on, the amount of people that have just come up to me and my dog while we are training at the park, even with his muzzle on, and asked to pet or interact with him is crazy. I just say sorry we are not ready to meet strangers right now and some people even get pissed off. He can have a meltdown in public barking at a man with a big beard and a hat and nobody bats an eye because his breed is considered "friendly". But if a pittie or staffie walks down the street being a calm gentle presence suddenly everyone is very scared of dogs 🙄

One thing to consider is not everyone wants there dogs running up to ANY dog, I’ve been training my pup off the lead and I keep her attention on me until I can assess if the other person wants her running over greeting there dog and if she’d be welcomed. Sometimes you’ve got to shout to get them to listen in my opinion, I use treats as well but sometimes she’s more interested in saying hello to a dog that doesn’t want to see her and that’s when she gets called back
Edit* I’d rather look a bit of an ars* shouting my dog back than let her get in any bother put it that way.

I get where this guy is coming from. However i fo sympathise with the people on the road, it doesn't matter how many times an owner says the usual "oh they love kids , oh they're friendly, oh they dont bite" my response is "BUT I DON'T KNOW THAT" the about of times my kidd have been walking in a park minding our own business and had a supposedly "friendly dog" cone up and nip at the kids or get in their faces snarling is beyond reason now. So basically if i see ANY dog. I am very cautious.

I got a corgi/ jack Russell cross and a sharpay (i will learn how to spell it one day) bull terrier (american ??) cross, the corgi is 14 and loves to meet and greet new dogs and people, so the younger terrier cross, who is 20mts old but shes a big girl granted tends to do the same, tail wagging and doung her wooo woooo bark and the amount of owners who pick hp there dogs ar go tense on the leash shouting "shoo go away" and things like that, well there dog, who usually picks up the happy vibe coming off my dogs and is happy to have a sniff of my two instantly pick up the bad vibe coming from there owners and they become instantly hostile, my two will just come away and rejoin me once this happens they have learned not to get aggressive, and they dont want confrontation, its bad owners nearly every time dogs fight.
