  • The Novablast 4 from ASICS is one of the most popular daily trainer of the last few years. In this video I give a complete review of the shoe after running over 100 miles in the shoe including easy runs, long runs, and workouts. I hope to give you a good idea of what you're getting if you want to buy the newest model.
Let me know if you like this review, and leave me a suggestion for future reviews.

As someone who suffers from heel lift, Asics have some of the best heel lockdowns. Their combination of deep heel pockets and collar padding really helps to keep the heel in place without tieing the laces so tight to cut off circulation.

They did something similar between the Nimbus 24 and 25 that they did between the Novablast 2 & 3. Now they have the Nimbus 26 and Novablast 4, basically just continuations of the previous iteration.

To be completely honest, all these shoes in this 110/150 price range (the daily trainer shoe) are just personal preference. They are all great shoes in their own right so maybe try some different ones because most have a 30day period if you want to return them and see how they fit your feet

Dude your the only person I've seen doing a shoe review that gets to the meat, and as someone already said your not acting like a means of advertising the shoe, your here saying this is what I put the shoe through and what it can handle not how great it looks with awesome studio lighting. One other video I watched before this the guy is like this is a easy day only shoe it's not the same as the 3 with picking up the pace, then your on here like on yeah i'm doing sub 5min/mile at the end of a workout in it without an issue. Total opposites of opinions. What I do like is you prove the shoe can do it, and that's what I'm concerned with, we already know it can do 8,9,10 minute mile pace but what about faster paces for workouts, and your the only guy showing it.

Just curious if you think these shoes will do the trick for someone who is really new to running and looking to A) successfully finish a marathon, and B) target a sub-4 time. My half PR is about a 1:46, which I did in a Hoka Mach 5. I'm not sure if the Novablast 4 is faster, slower, or at all similar to the Mach 5. Would appreciate any thoughts about whether the Novablast 4 can be my shoe for the last bit of training and the race itself. I've never had more than one pair of running shoes at a time. Thanks!

Thank you for your review. I bought the Novablast 2 after reading online recommendations - what a terrible shoe, which I dropped from my lineup after about 100km. Felt like I was running on oversized marshmellows, with stability issues and generally all round cumbersome. I paid £140 for the Novablast 2 and was extremely dissappointed, so much so I won't consider wasting my money on Asics again. Are you able to comment if the Novablast 4 addressed these issues in anyway?

Haha that’s hard to answer cause the Novablast 2 is a great shoe IMO. One of my all time favorites - had 5 pair that all got over 500 miles. Our opinions of a good shoe differ dramatically I guess. What I can say is that the Novablast 4 is less soft and more stable than the 2s.
