Good luck with that but to be clear, the safest and deeper passage is under the Dali! Why? Cause she sustained all the bridge debris on her bow so the deep underneath her is almost clear, unlike the rest of the wrecked bridge which inherited an enormous amount of debris that sits on the bottom and it's extremely hard to lift out of the way(mainly the asphalt deck)
I think they should replace this old bridge with a pair of 3 lane tunnels to handle current and future traffic, and leave the river wide open to river traffic. A wider channel would mean increased port traffic and allow for ship emergencies like this accident by removing the bridges from accident zones. Building the tunnels deep would allow river channel to be deepened without uncovering tunnels, and allow for even larger ships to enter bay SAFELY.
I said the same as you about building tunnels and was told it's illegal to take chemicals Via tunnels by law ,I don't know if that law applies in the US but I understand it applies here in the UK,
@@joginns778 I was referring to using Tunnels for vehicular traffic. I never thought there were regs regarding truck cargo...live and learn. But even so, there ae other bridges in the area that could allow trucks to cross.
i think the same, i prefer immersed tunnel to replace bridge. usually immersed tunnel have 2 pair 3 line road plus twin rail line in tube which for future grow. . also distant not too long just +1 mile about 2 km range. , cost not so high (not built in USA) .
@@limwiching2277 Hmm.. I like your idea of a rail system, but perhaps also a passenger rail system to relieve traffic congestion and speed travel times for local commuters.
I'm sorry if historical facts offend you, but the FACT remains that he was a slave owner. No, it doesn't matter how strong your pathological need to "own the libs" is, it doesn't change the history.
Just stop farting around and get the bridge off the bow of the MV so it can be moved back to port, the other containers secured the damaged fixed and then get it on its way.
So they want to rename the bridge for a black man? Did his people own slaves? They might have been owners in the old country. Just keep the name or go to something neutral. The name originally wasn't picked because the guy owned slaves.

What would the governor be doing if there was no accident?
They mean May?
Uh, we're 1/3 through April right now.
I say we rename the bridge the "Taxpayers"
Bendover Bridge.
Has a nice ring to it.
I assume you are aware that ALL bridges are payed for with taxes, including significant funding for bridges with tolls. Plus, tolls are a type of tax.

Not when they are knocked down.
The ship is responsible. Period.

So that's why the bridge had to come down.
I like ntsb to me they are a very valuable Asset of ours in America
Get real
'Bout time.
December......
Most arenas and stadiums these days have bank names.. how about the name goes to the highest bidder/financier?
Are you really ready for a bridge called the Viagra Bridge or the Preparation H Bridge?
@@macformeIf it prevents more inflation I would happily drive across The Kardashian Tampax Hulu Bridge!
everything was fine until they raised renaming of the bridge 😠
Leave the bridge's name alone. Enough with the slave owing bull chips!😡😡
Go argue that with native Americans.
yep. that slavery excuse is getting old and played out.

The trump bridge.. made of hamburger wrappers
You knew it was coming. Renaming the bridge. Another example of the democrats trying to erase history 😢
