    I like the video I hope you keep doing them! For your focusing problem earlier in the video. If you put your palm behind the object you want the camera to focus on it will usually focus quickly! Hope this helps

    I appreciate the video! What is your experience regarding the chem lights no longer working (glowing) after being taken out of their packaging for a prolonged time?

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Před 3 měsíci +1

      The sun and sunlight will degrade them over time yeah. They will not glow as bright. But it’s a months exposed thing not a days or weeks in my opinion. Most of the time that belt sits in storage. Not exposed to light.

    Nice video! Would you recommend ranger bands versus rubber bands? Or not really a big difference?

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Před rokem +2

      Ranger bands hold up a little better. Same with bicycle inner tubes, but they all fail after awhile. I’d use normal rubber bands and replace them every once and awhile.

  • @matigra1238
    @matigra1238 Před 3 měsíci +1

    fun fact, instead of rubber bands I often use cut up inner tubes :v they last a bit longer and can be cut to the size that you need

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yeah def a good option if you want something to last a little longer. I tend to use rubber bands because they are easier to break.

    Hey, amazing video, I was wondering what color of the chemlight do you consider the best?

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Před 5 měsíci +1

      For me the color represents /mean different things. If you are looking for brightness, I’d go with green.

    I use hair ties in place of rubber bands, they do the same thing and are tougher. Havent had an issue yet.

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yeah def. They def hold up better than rubber bands. I just use the bands for this task because I intend on breaking them as I deploy the chems

    So on your team you guys are throwing one glow stick in every room to show it’s clear? If so do you just throw it right inside the threshold?

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Před rokem +4

      Each cleared room gets a green Chen upon initial clear, and that Chen is moved to a specific spot on secondary clearance.

  • @ramonpeekel
    @ramonpeekel Před rokem +2

    I was taught to keep ChemLights in their original packaging, they degrade quickly exposing them to UV light and heat. Thoughts?

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Před rokem +2

      They definitely degrade over time (not as bright), due to sun exposure. But that length of time depends on your environment and how often you are in the sun. I also use these at least monthly, usually weekly so they don’t degrade by the time they are used. You can increase this by removing them from your belt when on the range. Hope this helps.
