Seeing the squad back together (Gene, Sam, Dylan and Kari) made me so happy, brought back the memories of 2020 vlogging days.

This has got to be the best "real-life" review--- combining different cameras and just making the review part of the entire real-life experience. So much better than all the other tech review channels that hardly put the tech through real-life usage in a dynamic way.

I’m excited for the camera. I have always been a fan of the DJI Action series of cameras. When I got the action 3, I knew it wasn’t going fly on my drones often and I use it as a vlog camera. I’m really interested in testing the Action 4 in low light situations for fpv.
DJI is my favorite brand. I have the Pocket 2 and it’s actually my primary option to film on. I simply don’t use my canon just because I can’t afford a gimbal. And phone is great but a lot of the time I have information loaded on it and need it for other stuff

So…it’s an Air3/Mini 3 Pro/Mavic 3 Pro (secondary) sensor…seems like they are trying to standardize the sensors they are using in their current lineup.
The quality is really nice now ! Will be picking one of these up ! would love to see some more FPV footage with this camera
Seriously best audio out of an action camera I've ever heard!
I have the action 3, and I put a wind sock for my old GoPro on it. Basically a foam jacket that goes over the whole thing, and acts as a wind muff. Unfortunately, it does cause higher temps, so there is some trade off there.
No way!!! I just ordered the Action 3 a few weeks ago still waiting to arrive and now I saw in my email inbox this morning the Action 4 is here!!!
Really enjoyed this video and the comparison between this and other cameras, it gives a great real-world feel to the comparisons

Honestly , i don’t think I’ve been excited over an action camera as much as this one !!
Rode ME can use multiple microphones (sold separately) and you can use the GO 2 TX with the internal recording. The benefit of the ME is that it can connect to an iPhone or Android phone using the lightning or USB-C cable without needing adapters. However for the price the cheap $20 wireless microphones have great audio quality.
Finally a really comprehensible low light test. Like we know what a dave and busters looks like in life and in other recordings, not like under bridges or very specific events. I really want the action 4 now 😳
Good test and the arcade was a great location. I want one for filming in a nightclub and hopefully is somewhat comparable.
Daaaamn, that low light and 4K120... I still use the original Osmo Action (the first one) and I´m highly tempted to get this one!
Can you elaborate why you prefer smaller sensor with faster lens vs bigger sensor with slower lens? Or anyone who can elaborate it for me please, much appreciated!

Did the FIX the bad focus that ruined the Action 3? The firmware did nothing. Also, for long recordings, do the files now save as one file (like in iPhone) OR do they save as many little clips. The Action 3 using many clips for long shoots resulted in a sound "glitch" when putting the clips back into the one long shoot.
@potato_jet. So…the focus is fixed? The longer one-take clips are still broken into chunks or one big file? The chunks often had audio glitches between clips.

I predominatly film my bands - lowlight and flashing lighting rigs - terrible for a camera to cope with - my gopros nearly coped but I'm sick of the unrelability - you've sold me on the 4!

Got the Action 4. Great little cam, loving the performance, but I'm not too happy with the D-Log M. Colours don't look too good when you grab them IMO.
I would have liked to see a comparison to the insta360 one rs with the 1" lens. I feel like this is the direct competitor to the action4, rather than a Go 3

Would you use Rock Steady or Rock Steady +? I’m confused by the difference and not sure which to use for a majority of my shots. Also, what ISO is the highest you would push the camera?

The Action 4 is looking pretty good! Any idea if the UVC mode has stabilization? If it does that camera might be the ideal one you can buy new for IRL streaming backpack setups. A lot of streamers use an old no longer produced Sony action camera.
action4 does have stabilization in UVC mode

Hi, can you pause recording on the DJI action 4 then resume? So to be able to record different scenes as a one file without having to mess around with editing.

We buy stick on dead cats and 2 sided tape them to the gopro mics and it works great.

You know, for the first time ever for me, I might switch and get the Action 4. GoPro is gonna have to do something really special with the Hero 12 when they release it comes out this September, Otherwise this Action 4 will be my new action camera, Just that sensor size, and the dlog make it so sweet
You should watch a compassion with the Hero 11. It shows this Action 4 is nothing special at all. Don’t know why he wouldn’t have shown that comparison here?
@@DanCarr You know what, I watched a comparison and you are kinda right
DJI and Insta360 keep going for bigger sensor and open aperture but I don't like how it blows out the sun. The one thing I like about the hero is the closed aperture helps with the bread and butter of action cams which is outdoor action.
At least the round lens frame on the Action3/4 allows easy rigging of GND filters to stop down the sky.
