    First, thank you for the video. at 2:44 there is a mistake. Pulmonary veins return blood from the lungs to the left atrium not the left ventricle. Also at 21:48 it should be left subclavian artery. Again, thank you. This video was great.

      Also at 13:54. That’s the tricuspid valve.

    very helpful review except there were several mistakes.
    At 2:43, Pulmonary veins return blood from the lungs to the LEFT ATRIUM not ventricle. You cannot enter into the ventricle except through the bicuspid valves in between the left atria and left ventricle.
    Then at around 13:56 you point to the tricuspid valve but state that its the Inferior Vena Cava?
    Also at 16:52, you say the brachiocephalic artery branches into the right coronary artery and right subclavian but it's the right common carotid artery. Same goes for the left common carotid artery, you call it the left coronary artery.
    Lastly, at 21:40, #15 should be the left subclavian ARTERY not vein.
    Thanks again Henry! Great review.

    Arteries carry blood AWAY from the heart while veins carry blood TO the heart. Anytime a structure is leaving the heart, it is an artery. When a structure is heading to the heart, it is a vein. The only exception is the pulmonary because deoxygenated blood is in the pulmonary arteries where it will then become oxygenated in the lungs and head back to the heart via the pulmonary veins.

    • @taristazin2073
      @taristazin2073 Před 4 lety +6

      That's not an exception to your primary statement. The pulmonary artery is carrying blood AWAY from the heart, the pulmonary veins are carrying blood TO the heart. Whether or not the blood is oxygenated is a different topic.

    • @anthonyschocke2831
      @anthonyschocke2831 Před 2 lety

      @@taristazin2073 Usually I think of Arteries as carrying Oxygenated Blood and veins carry Deoxygenated blood and yes that is usually true the only exception I know of is the Pulmonary Arteries and Veins.
