Building the World’s Leading Verification Platform for Soil-Based Carbon Removal

Perennial Earth process enhanced satellite image processing and soil data for soil-based carbon removal. They already were using AWS Step Functions for some of their workloads. But were facing problems of complex AWS Step Function DSL and limited parallelism. With Metaflow, they were able to get past both these limitations. Metaflow offered a simpler way to write code, efficiently translating it into AWS Step Functions. In 2022, AWS expanded its concurrency limit to 10K, introducing a new operational paradigm. Perennial Earth's team adapted Metaflow to support this change and have contributed this upstream.
