The way to be able to use Cape during a match is when you edit the superstar, in the attire slot 2, in the attire ring section, the attire type is changed to the manager first. After that, look for and attach the Cape, after that when you use the Cape, go back to the attire type setting, and change again to superstar, so if you want to use the Cape during the match, you have to use the second attire slot, not the first one.
